The Grand Poobah Has Spoken On Gun Rights

CNS News:

Grand Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, has released a statement calling on the United Nations to “seriously” pursue seven “human rights” cases in the United States. One of these is what Khamenei perceives as the need for gun control.

“Another case which the UN should definitely pursue is the freedom of selling guns in the US with which so many crimes are being committed,” Khamenei said in a statement published today.

“You hear and witness that every day in schools, in universities, in markets, and on the street that a teenager, a man, or a woman fires a volley of bullets at some people because of some problem they have–they are extremely angry, or they are mad and have some personal problems,” Khamenei said.

“They kill eight, ten, twenty–more or less–people, and families mourn the loss of their dear ones,” Khamenei continued. “Why do they not stop this? The reason is that gun companies prevent this, and the US administrations are under the influence of these companies. This is a very important issue which should be addressed and pursued by the UN.”

So if you believe that too, you are in remarkable company.  The Grand Poobah wants more gun control.

And so do the following folks.

“Germans who wish to use firearms should join the SS or the SA — ordinary citizens don’t need guns, as their having guns doesn’t serve the State.”
Heinrich Himmler

“I have grown up with guns all my life, but people who like assault weapons they should join the United States Army, we have them.”
Gen. Wesley Clark, US Army

“Anyone who wants to possess such a weapon (“assault weapon”) should join the Marine Corps.”
Oliver North, President of NRA

“We think it’s reasonable to provide mandatory instant criminal background checks for every sale at every gun show. No loopholes anywhere for anyone.”
Wayne LaPierre, CEO and Executive Vice President, NRA

“In the aftermath of two of the country’s worst mass shootings, it’s an affront to both our safety as a nation and the common sense of its citizens that Congress would consider actually weakening our gun laws.”
General Stanley McChrystal, author of the ROE that killed good men at Ganjgal

“I spent a career carrying typically either an M16 or an M4 Carbine. An M4 Carbine fires a .223 caliber round which is 5.56 mm at about 3000 feet per second. When it hits a human body, the effects are devastating. It’s designed for that,” McChrystal explained. “That’s what our soldiers ought to carry. I personally don’t think there’s any need for that kind of weaponry on the streets and particularly around the schools in America.”
General Stanley McChrystal

And all democrats.  And many more in the gun control hall of shame my readers have cataloged in the comments.

For some reason 1 Corinthians 15:33 comes to mind, but then there is also Matthew 15:19 that points a slightly different direction, albeit consistent with the first.  Oh well, that’s a discussion for another time.

Grand Ayatollah Ali Khamenei is committing, or should I say, using – “taqiyya” – one of the oldest forms of deception employed by Muslims in their ages-old war against the infidels. Taqiyya is a form of lying or dissimulation devout/observant Muslims are allowed to use when threatened, or when they perceive Islam to be threatened.

Severe penalties apply when a Muslim lies to a fellow believer, but none attach when the shahid lies to the kafirs. Indeed, he is obligated to do so according to the Koran, the Hadiths and the Sira, the “holy trinity” of Islam.

Khamenei is a Shi’ite Muslim, a sect eternally at war with the more-dominant Sunni Muslim world… but make no mistake, to Muslims, whether Sunni or Shi’ite, all non-Muslims are simply infidels and kafirs to be converted, slain or subjugated. In other words, there are few things which unite the Shia and the Sunnis, but one of them is the chance to slay some infidels. They can resume their internecine wars later.

I agree completely. Every time I go to the range, I try to improve on my gun control. I work on smoother trigger pull and a well-controlled and well-placed grip that is firm but not too tight.

I care as much about what what some Iranian Musloid thinks about human rights as I care about an atheist’s interpretation of the Bible or a DACA recipient’s opinions about American values.

If anything, this should help the lefties understand why “gun control” is a bad idea. All the tyrants demand it.

Like all of the thugs listed, they don’t consider death by government to be a crime.

Over 500,000 of my people were murdered by the US government after 1860. I use “murdered” because all were committed in violation of Article III, section three of the US Constitution which defines treason as aiding and abetting an invasion of a state or group of states.

As for Iranians, I pray they will come to Christ at some point in the future.

If Khumanei was smart, he would get on the right side, but because he is a dumb muzz, like the rest of the midd east, of course he is going to play on the heart strings. The only problem is that it doesn’t work when you’re the ayatollah of the religion of death, its very difficult to take the moral high ground against America, considering Sharia and all that.

    @Dutch,

    I’ve already done so here:

    http://www.captainsjournal.com/2016/05/22/irrational-christian-bias-against-guns-violence-and-self-defense/

Jesus was quite literally commanding them to disobey the existing law in obtaining knives for self defense.

” … for some evidence, see Digest 48.6.1: collecting weapons ‘beyond those customary for hunting or for a journey by land or sea’ is forbidden; 48.6.3.1 forbids a man ‘of full age’ appearing in public with a weapon (telum) (references and translation are from Mommsen 1985). See also Mommsen 1899: 564 n. 2; 657-58 n. 1; and Linderski 2007: 102-103 (though he cites only Mommsen). Other laws from the same context of the Digest sometimes cited in this regard are not as worthwhile for my purposes because they seem to be forbidding the possession of weapons with criminal intent. But for the outright forbidding of being armed while in public in Rome, see Cicero’s letter to his brother relating an incident in Rome in which a man, who is apparently falsely accused of plotting an assassination, is nonetheless arrested merely for having confessed to having been armed with a dagger while in the city: To Atticus, Letter 44 (II.24). See also Cicero, Philippics 5.6 (§17). Finally we may cite a letter that Synesius of Cyrene wrote to his brother, probably sometime around the year 400 ce. The brother had apparently questioned the legality of Synesius having his household produce weapons to defend themselves against marauding bands. Synesius points out that there are no Roman legions anywhere near for protection, but he seems reluctantly to admit that he is engaged in an illegal act (Letter 107; for English trans., see Fitzgerald 1926).”
