Are You Stockpiling Ammunition?

Are you stockpiling ammunition? You need to be. Remember – the police are doing it. As an update on the ammunition shortage, I see it getting slightly better, but not much. If one cannot order in bulk because you don’t happen to have a spare $500 or $1000 sitting around the house, you have to purchase in small quantities (50 rounds here, 100 rounds there, out of every paycheck).

Me? Stockpiling ammo? Nah. Only mentally ill people do that. Just ask the DOJ or DHS. ;-)
Seriously though, I have a big problem stockpiling ammo- I shoot it much faster than I can buy it…

Yes, it’s a balancing act. One must keep shooting because it’s a perishable still. But increasing that inventory must be done WHILE shooting. Very hard.

Small quantity is better than no quantity.
Wally world has an interesting deal on Rem 12 gauge slugs and buck, 11 plus bucks for their 15 rd value box. Buy one box per paycheck. It really adds up and before you know it you have yourself quite a stockpile.

Hell, the increased value of my stockpiled ammo has multiplied while the value of my stored silver has plummeted. In silver I lost money. In ammo I’ve made money.
And for what it’s worth, I started my savings account back in November 2008 when the unconstitutional soetoro-obama was first elected.

Herschel, I hope the photo is the result of just one trip to a gun show and not your total stockpile!

I try to buy what I can when I can. Dry firing is going up and I have been thinking about getting one of those bolt lasers for the ar to ensure good hit on target based on trigger pull.
Tactics and Strategy have been occupying my mind of late. If the ball goes down and we cant get vehicles moving I wonder how I would move the pile of ammo and the collection of guns. Have been contemplating what I would carry on person. At 57 I can’t ruck a truck all day any more. Make the choices now when the heat is low or grab something with the house burning around me.
Lots of stuff to contemplate.

Unfortunately, all of my firearms and ammunition were destroyed in a freak water-skiing accident.

Yes Bob. All of my pictures of guns and ammo were taken before that dreadful boating accident on lake Keowee where my entire collection sank to the bottom. I cried buckets of tears over that.
