No One Wants To Take Your Guns

David Codrea on the Maryland Deputy Attorney General:
“My complete answer, off the record, is we should ban guns altogether, period,” he said. “If you want gun practice with a gun, you can go to the gun range and then you leave it there and you go home.”
He said, in his opinion, personal ownership of firearms should be limited to law enforcement and to individuals who pass licensing tests, pay a tax, have insurance and, as technology allows, have fingerprint trigger locks.
This isn’t substantially different from what we already knew about the gun controllers.
The only way we can truly be safe and prevent further gun violence is to ban civilian ownership of all guns. That means everything. No pistols, no revolvers, no semiautomatic or automatic rifles. No bolt action. No breaking actions or falling blocks. Nothing. This is the only thing that we can possibly do to keep our children safe from both mass murder and common street violence.
Unfortunately, right now we can’t. The political will is there, but the institutions are not. Honestly, this is a good thing. If we passed a law tomorrow banning all firearms, we would have massive noncompliance. What we need to do is establish the regulatory and informational institutions first. This is how we do it. The very first thing we need is national registry. We need to know where the guns are, and who has them.
Both this controller and the Deputy AG are willing to go some distance towards their goals in order to achieve long term full compliance with their view of the world.
Never trust a “gun controller” because of the second word in the phrase. There is no limit to the control a controller wants to exercise in his quest to control you.

How long do we think it will be before we no longer have millions of firearms in the hands of millions of people who steadfastly refuse to give them up?
Civilian arms ownership is part of who we are as a nation. Having watched what happened in CT, NY, and WA, I no longer pay attention to the ramblings of so-called pundits who proclaim loudly but without logical foundation that we will all one day be disarmed for our own protection.
It’s simply not going to happen. My great-grandchildren will be armed — and dangerous when provoked.

My favorite term for them is Gunlighter. Nobody wants to take our guns, and we’re completely crazy for coming up with that idea on our own, so say the Gunlighters.

I just laugh when I read that the anti-self-defense advocates think list-making will help their eventual goal of disarmament. Can they actually be so stupid and miss the obvious:
List-making goes both ways.

My response to that demand:
“The right to self defense, with any weapon, is intrinsic to humans. As a right, it is NOT subject to arguments of utility nor to the democratic process.
Just as important as the above; gun owners are, unlike most rights advocates, armed and have the training and ability to enforce their rights access.
To protect ourselves from Marxist/progressives, we’re accumulating sufficient consumable supplies, training, and other skills to stop any attempts at disarmament.
Any attempts.
Your move.”
