Matt Bracken on The Alienork Way. If you don’t read anything else this week, read this.
Yet another reason to hate Mark Zuckerberg. Do we really need any more?
Update on the Remington 700 Walker Fire Control System. This sure would have been easier if I had been CEO and had made the decisions on what to do when they first found out the system could discharge under all kinds of unintended conditions.
David Codrea isn’t very impressed with the recent judge’s decision on fast and furious documents still held by the crocked administration. Or for that matter, Congressman Jason Chaffetz. Neither am I.
David also links the great work recently done by Dave Hardy at the Clinton library. Part I is here, Part II is here.
On January 20, 2016 at 11:34 am, Archer said:
So much fail in that Ernie Chambers piece from Nebraska.
But no so-called terrorist has created as much havoc, taken as many
lives of men, women and little children as white, Christian Americans, [Chambers] said. [citation needed]
But none of those acts were labeled terrorism, nor were the perpetrators called terrorists. Cites “facts” not in evidence.
What’s happening in Oregon with people occupying headquarters of a
federal wildlife refuge is subversive, a direct, armed challenge against
the authority of the United States, Chambers said.
“But since white men are doing it,” he said, “it’s treated in almost a ho-hum fashion: This is what white men do.”
Or maybe, just maybe, it’s being treated in a manner appropriate to the “threat” of armed citizens who haven’t harmed or threatened harm against anyone.
If Muslims did they [sic] same thing, he said, authorities would kill as
many as they could, and then brand every other Muslim as a threat and
round them up.
If they were black people, they’d be shot down right now, he said.
Two more “cites ‘facts’ not in evidence”. Committed Muslims have a nasty habit of killing everyone in the buildings they “occupy”. Black people recently have had a nasty habit of rioting and looting (a.k.a. threatening or causing direct harm) during their “peaceful protests”. It’s not an apples-to-apples comparison; more like apples-to-Buicks.
When black people have demonstrated across the country against police
violence — unarmed, and not threatening direct violence — there were
military vehicles and military weaponry standing by, Chambers said, even
though nobody was taking armed control of anything.
See my point above; such “unarmed demonstrations” have not stayed such, and quickly escalate and devolve into riotous violence.
And my personal favorite: If the mere expression of an opinion is sufficient to be arrested and charged with a serious offense that can carry years in prison, he said, then it’s not unreasonable to bring a bill to deal with the kind of equipment and garb that would bespeak illegal violence.
Coming from a person who would make it illegal for white Christian people (and only white Christian people) to express ANY non-government-approved opinion, this is no surprise. That he’s “served” in the legislature for 42 years is also no surprise.
Methinks it’s past time to enact term limits.
