Clinton Aid: “I Will Be Sacrificing A Chicken In The Backyard To Moloch”
BY Herschel Smith8 years ago
From reader Darin Sunny McCollough, this from Wikileaks:
With fingers crossed, the old rabbit’s foot out of the box in the attic, I will be sacrificing a chicken in the backyard to Moloch . . .
Who says things like that?

They already sacrifice over a million innocents to moloch on an annual basis. Why bother with a chicken?

I think it was just an attempt at a joke. Here’s his blog – read it for yourself and tell me you still think he is a satanist: http://www.thediplomad.com/

??? You’ve got me a bit confused. My understanding is that the Wikileaks’ e-mail quote in question is from a Clinton staffer. The blog writer you linked to is a Trump supporter. Am I missing some connection?

The Wikileaks email between Cheryl Mills and Hillary was quoting an official email communication from the diplomat W. Lewis Amselem to Maria Otero and ‘Task Force Honduras’ sent: Sat Aug 29 13:54:22 2009. The link is here: https://wikileaks.org/clinton-emails/emailid/14333
As far as I can tell, this is the blog post that flagged his reference to Moloch: https://fellowshipoftheminds.com/2016/08/08/hillary-aide-talks-about-animal-sacrifice-to-demon-moloch-in-wikileaks-email/
I have read many posts over the years by the DiploMad, and I’m pretty sure he was just making a joke, probably an inside joke. Yes, he is a Trump supporter, and yes he is disgusted by the State Dept and the U.S. govt in general. I have never seen any indication that he is anything other than an upstanding patriot, but how well can you know anyone over the internet?

Thank you for that additional information, Afterburner. (I’ve added his blog to my favorites list.)

You’re welcome. Amselem has some great insights and a great deal of experience in the foreign service. I wouldn’t be surprised if he had to do some things that he would rather not talk about, or can’t talk about, or isn’t particularly proud of, or just made a few mistakes in his career. I’m not sure that I would do better. I just couldn’t let his name be drug through the mud over this Moloch reference, though, when I’m pretty sure that’s not who he is and it does sound like a joke that he would make.

Roger that. (I’ve made more than a few mistakes in my own career. :))
