Windham Weaponry .450 Bushmaster Pistol

How many of you think you could handle .450 Bushmaster in an AR pistol and regain sight picture after the first shot in – oh, I don’t know – under four or five seconds?

Not sure where they are going with this..
But for what its worth, I would love to try this out for the fun factor.

I think I might get me one of those. I am pretty fond of big-bore shootin’ things.

Interesting question which would apply to any of the big bore AR cartridges it seems to me.
I’ll weigh my AR pistol and see if I can calculate the recoil impulse I’d experience. Just guessing mind you, I’d say my AR pistol weighs at least 5 pounds, which would go a long way to managing the recoil.
Still, with significantly more power than a .44 Magnum pistol round, the standard 5.56 AR round is more than enough, and I can have between 30 and 60 rounds in the magazine with the ones I own.

That 4 or 5 seconds? Does that include the time needed to get up off the ground after shooting the thing?
Seriously, though, looks a hoot to shoot.

I’ve played with a 458 SOCOM SBR which would be pretty similar weight and ballistics…wasn’t bad. If you tried to shoot it one-handed, it would be a handful but, if that “arm brace” happened to touch your shoulder, it would be a pile of heavy bullet fun in a handy package. As I’ve said before – really digging the AR pistol / brace thing

Rocketguy – I would try it, but wonder about the blast to my face that close to that muzzle brake.
