North Carolina Republican Inaction On Gun Bills

‘Hunting & Fishing’ ballot initiative: a thin veil covering the GOP’s apathy toward gun owners…
Other organizations may be happy with a hunting and fishing ballot initiative posing as pro-gun legislation, but we at GRNC are not fooled by a wispy, token gesture in the absence of real pro-gun legislative action. Second Amendment voters like you played a pivotal role in Republicans gaining and maintaining a supermajority in the NC legislature, but how has Republican leadership repaid you for this? Simple:
1. GOP Senate leaders, like Senate President Pro Tempore Phil Berger, have spent a full two years ignoring gun owners, refusing to give GRNC’s ‘Permitless Concealed Carry’ bill (HB 746) even a hearing, let alone bring it to the floor for a vote.
2. Republicans in the NC House, like Speaker Tim Moore, have refused to give a hearing to the time-critical School Self-defense Act (HB 1039), which would help protect our vulnerable school children.
If that’s not a sharp enough stick in the eye, NC’s GOP Executive Director, Dallas Woodhouse, recently proclaimed on Facebook that the GOP will not move pro-gun bills during this session. And yes, you read that right, Dallas Woodhouse is not the Democrat’s Executive Director, he is the ostensibly “pro-gun” Republican’s.
4. Now, our state’s Republican politicians have further “repaid” you by putting forth a virtually meaningless ballot initiative, meant only to conjure thoughts of gun rights and to get conservative voters to the polls. Unfortunately, the ballot initiative does little or nothing to advance gun rights in our state. It definitely won’t protect school children, nor will it help you protect your family.
Good. No one gets my vote by allowing me to pick up crumbs that fall from the master’s table. I still want the idiotic, communistic system of CLEO approval for handgun purchases to be thrown out of the state. I have a CHP for the simple and only reason that I cannot purchase handguns in NC without it.
Because NC republicans are communists. Oh, and by the way, I don’t give a shit about your stupid hunting and fishing ballot initiatives.

On the other side of the Smokies in TN, the good side (couldn’t resist), we have our own problems (at least read the ** part below):
None of the gubernatorial candidates support Constitutional Carry.
-Randy Boyd is a money boy and will never put himself into a position to talk to the likes of me. He goes around collecting checks and adding up IOU’s with ‘prominent’ figures in the state.
-Beth Harwell, as speaker of the House wouldn’t demand Const. Carry be brought to the floor so it languished in committee year after year. I spoke with her about it and she flat out said she doesn’t support it. I pointed out that she can keep her revenue scheme by not eliminating the permit because folks want it for reciprocity. She looked stunned. Apparently NOBODY (are you listening NRA members) mentioned this avenue to her.
-Bill Lee told me that her would defer to police…to which I did manage to maintain my calm by the grace of God. Apparently Mr. Lee, a disciple of Hitler or Stalin, doesn’t grasp that the 2A (supposedly) tells the king that he and his men have no say so in the matter of men at arms in the US.
-Diane Black doesn’t know it yet but she will be speaking with me later this month, heh. Her stated positions are pretty much no on Const. Carry and liberty in general.
-May Beavers dropped out due to lack of money…guess why? She’s the only candidate that isn’t a commie sympathizer so she would make promises of grandiose 5 year enslavement plans and therefor couldn’t raise any money. Apparently, after years of service in the Statehouse she didn’t realize the game was to enrich herself at our expense. Shocking I know, a woman of honor. She is running for Mayor (that’s what we call it here) of her county. May the LORD be with her as she is very likely the only one that isn’t a Churchian phony.
There is an open seat for John Duncan’s spot to the fed Congress. Duncan was actually pretty good on guns. So, one of the folks running for it has abandoned his state rep post in attempt to parley his prowess into a fedgov spot. Name of Jim Matlock, another actual Christian, may he be blessed who is Pro Gun. To my point, I asked the three candidates for Matlock’s spot to the Statehouse what they thought about Campus Carry by school staff. One of the candidates had Hillary’s Fly on his forehead and buzzing around but he was kind-of mealy mouthed for it I guess and the other candidate was for it with extra and regular training (no prob from me). But..
**If you hung in there you’re going to love this part; one of the candidates for the TN Statehouse is a county mayor and 23 year cop. He said, in prompting from me, of Campus Carry for school staff that he apposed it because of the super cop ninja training but then he actually said; “Teachers may not be fast enough on the draw to defend the children.” That’s a direct quote! How could I forget it? I mean, you can’t even rightly hang a tyrant like this. He’s not even competent to understand what he’s done wrong. I was shocked. The smirks of the others in the room were priceless but still he is the most likely to win (he plays the good ol’ boy the best for sure and has the money.), ugh!

Damn! I didn’t know about that requirement. Where I live all you need to do is fill out the paperwork, pay for the handgun and the NICS fee and take the gun home. Though I think this will change in the not too distant future as I am seeing WAY too many out of state license plates on cars; especially from New York and New Jersey. Housing construction is booming here and many of these people are Communist clowns moving here to escape the conditions they created in the hell holes they came from. But then, according to a long time friend of ours who lives in Granville county NC, that same process involving the migration of well heeled libs moving to NC is what changed NC for the worse (at least in his opinion). When my wife and I were there to visit a few years back, I asked our host “what happened , where are all the folks with a Southern accent?” He replied; they moved further inland; to the West to get away from the new arrivals.
