Police Kills Armed Security Outside Chicago

ROBBINS, Ill. — Witnesses said a Midlothian police officer responding to a shooting inside a south suburban bar shot at the wrong person early Sunday morning.
After security asked a group of drunken men to leave Manny’s Blue Room Bar around 4 a.m. Sunday, witnesses said someone came back with a gun and opened fire. Security returned fire, and according to witnesses, 26-year-old armed security guard Jemel Roberson apprehended one of the men involved outside.
“He had somebody on the ground with his knee in back, with his gun in his back like, ‘Don’t move,'” witness Adam Harris said.
Soon after, witnesses said, an officer responding to the scene fired at Roberson — killing him.
“Everybody was screaming out, ‘Security!’ He was a security guard,” Harris said. “And they still did their job, and saw a black man with a gun, and basically killed him.”
Authorities were releasing few details Sunday night. Four other people, including the suspected shooter, sustained non-life threatening injuries.
A spokeswoman for the Cook County Sheriff’s Office said Roberson had a valid FOID card, but did not have a concealed-carry license.
To the black dude, I would say no, you’re just imagining that. This happens to white dudes too. It’s the way the police work, it isn’t about race.
Well, anyway, it’s nice to see that the police are doing what they always do, i.e., shooting everything in sight when they show up to a scene. That’s the only reliable thing we’ve seen about interactions with the police.

There is No Better Example of how the United States has turned from a “Republic, if you can Keep It” to a corporate/fascist Oligarchy, where the Citizens have No Rights, and the “government” and its agents have Complete Immunity to Murder the Citizens for any, slight Disobedience of “Laws” that are both Occulted and Do Not Apply to the Ruling Class and its Minions.
At this point, I believe that a Traditional (yes, that means Christian) European Monarchy would be a Better form of ‘Government’ than what We have at present.
This is also another Example of why one should Always consider that the Risk of Carrying a Concealed Weapon may often be More Dangerous due to the ‘government reaction’ to Defending Oneself, than the Criminal Threat in the First Place.

@Gryphon, in a comment to recent (last couple of weeks) post on TCJ I made a similar, but different, argument against a CCW. I have had them before, in three states, but am not getting one now because “grey man.” I highly suspect that the CCW is tied to your driver’s license on the thugpig’s (your superbly punctilious term) computer system. Have had it happen to a couple of friends of mine who were asked repeatedly for a firearm in car when pulled over but did not have one. There have been several cases of out of state drivers passing through Maryland and arrested via license plate readers and then pursuing state police. One runs the distinct risk of being shot during a traffic stop if the thugpig knows beforehand you have a CCW and you have a mouth like mine. I carry legally in the car depending on the state I travel through and just do not travel in states where having a gun in the car is illegal in case of a search. I open carry in states where legal. I am not trying to be secret squirrel and dont care to go to prison but if, as Captain says, the right/obligation to defense of self/innocent others comes from God – why ask permission?
