Mobius: if you haven’t seen one in 50 years, try looking up. Robins alerted me to one about 20ft up a cedar tree attacking their nest just last night. It didn’t end well for the snake or the hatchlings. It was over 6ft long.

Had 2 speckled king snakes doing the same thing on my backyard walkway earlier this year. They are immune to pit viper venom and prey on rattlesnakes and coppperheads which I have also seen around here. Needless to say they were left undisturbed.
