At Least Trump Has One Good Counselor, If Only One

WSJ: “Amid the increased discussion about gun control, some Trump advisers have urged the president not to throw his support behind any of the gun-control measures being discussed in Congress, including so-called red-flag legislation introduced by top Trump ally Sen. Lindsay Graham (R., S.C.), which aims at temporarily blocking dangerous people from accessing firearms. Some advisers have expressed concern that such legislation could violate the Second Amendment and alienate conservative voters. Donald Trump Jr., the president’s son who often speaks with his father about his views on gun laws, has raised concerns about both red-flag legislation and about tightening background checks, according to people familiar with the matter.”
Prediction: Orange Man won’t listen to him.

don’t get too excited. Junior is probably savvy enough to see that dad should wait until after the election and then complete his betrayal.

Trump’s son is a Fudd. His only thought is expediency. He nor his father cares one whit about your rights ordained by Holy God that we might carry out our duty to serve Him, our Nation, Tribe, and Family.
Here’s the setup:
’16 may have been the last real Republican presidential win (I could already argue that that happened in ’84) due to both internal and international migrations. If not, that day is right around the corner.
The statues, history, heritage, God, just law, language and more are all being torn down. This is the Revolution already at hand.
The Republicans and the NRA, as a last act, want Red Flag laws and other restrictions.
The commies will control the US government not only in deed but as seen to be legitimate due to elections.
Red Flag laws will go nationwide, and anybody the Regime doesn’t like gets swatted. Underground you go, no voice left.
The mob rule Democracy they crave will be upon us.
The only way a Republican will be able to get elected at this point is to be a commie too. We’re here in many states already.
The Democrat and Republican shift left will be complete.
The commies, both Democrats and now Republicans, will bulldoze you into a trench for your own safety, glory be to the holy regime.
No, the Republicans are not this stupid, they are in it, OBVIOUSLY!!! They mean to rule you absolutely. Enjoy the cattle car ride.

I wrote Trump a letter about National Concealed Carry Reciprocity after about 1 year in office.
Never heard from the WH, not even a form letter reply.
But, I never figured Trump to be pro-gun, I knew he was an anti-gun big city “Republican” and figured he would promptly forget all his promises to the “conservatives” if (and I didn’t think he would) he won.
I took a chance (the only choice I had really) and voted “for” him by voting AGAINST Hillary.
So, I’m surprised he made the little bit of effort that he did to fulfill campaign promises.
But, as glad as I am that it is not Hillary in office all we’ve really gotten is some judges who may or may not help us in the future.
And, of course he has signaled his true feelings about guns.
So, red-flag and universal background checks will cost him a return vote.
May as well let the Dems have the office, the Republicans are no better.
Everybody here knows what they need to be doing to prepare for that eventuality, which is evidently a given no matter which side is in office.
