Walmart CEO Doug McMillon Sees The Gun Control Light
BY Herschel Smith5 years, 4 months ago
Walmart CEO Doug McMillon on Thursday called for a national debate on whether an assault weapons ban that Congress let expire in 2004 would be effective “in keeping weapons made for war out of the hands of mass murderers.”
“In the national conversation around gun safety, we’re encouraged that broad support is emerging to strengthen background checks and to remove weapons from those who have been determined to pose an imminent danger,” he stated. “The reauthorization of the assault weapons ban should be debated to determine its effectiveness in keeping weapons made for war out of the hands of mass murderers.”
David Codrea also saw this today and linked CNN which has essentially the same report. But here’s a warning to CEO McMillon. We all answer for our decisions, including you. Remember Dr. Greg Bahnsen’s warnings on gun control.
The Bible does contain a few direct references to weapons control. There were many times throughout Israel’s history that it rebelled against God (in fact, it happened all the time). To mock His people back into submission to His Law, the Lord would often use wicked neighbors to punish Israel’s rebellion. Most notable were the Philistines and the Babylonians. 1 Samuel 13:19-22 relates the story: “Not a blacksmith could be found in the whole land of Israel, because the Philistines had said, “Otherwise the Hebrews will make swords or spears!” So all Israel went down to the Philistines to have their plowshares, mattocks, axes, and sickles sharpened…So on the day of battle not a soldier with Saul and Jonathan had a sword or spear in this hand; only Saul and his son Jonathan had them.” Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon also removed all of the craftsmen from Israel during the Babylonian captivity (2 Kings 24:14). Both of these administrations were considered exceedingly wicked including their acts of weapons control.
Government interference with free trade – including that of firearms trade – has no place in the Biblical economy. Your naïve, childish belief in fortune telling and forecasting the future (i.e., guessing who might commit crimes) is called divination, or witchcraft, in the Bible. God considers it evil. And a prohibition on the ownership of weapons interferes with the ability to defend hearth and home, which is tantamount to justifying theft and murder.
You’ve apparently “seen the light” on gun control, jumping in with both feet. But that light you’re seeing might just be the lake of fire. Be careful for your soul.

Funny how these CEOs always seem to “see the light” when it comes to more control, more government, more intervention. They almost never see anything when it comes to liberty, freedom, and reducing the size of the state.

The very large corporations today are just extensions of the government. Their goals are not profit and growing the company first they are about government goals first.

“Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.”
I agree with the @Captain and @Ragman. The further basis is that government assuming to know the heart of a man, to know his sin, absent a crime as evidence, is idolatry of the first order. This is a government making itself as equal to God, to know a man’s sin.
“Thou shalt have no other gods before me.”
Red Flag laws is a secular humanism, this making themselves as some god over themselves which must lead to them believing that they can be god over others. This is the only conclusion that humanism can lead to; self as god, but when handed the reins of government what happens to these self appointed gods? Yes, they become tyrants, one and all.
Our LORD makes the Law simple to understand so that even a lawyer could grasp it.
“Then one of them, which was a lawyer, asked him a question, tempting him, and saying, Master, which is the great commandment in the law? Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.”
If you love God, you respect God, and don’t try to make yourself a god. Humanism hates God, doesn’t respect God, and will try to kill those who do love Holy God because the humanist must love his god first of all. Whatever is their god, will be the source of that law structure. This is the nature of God’s created order and why He warns, yay, demands fealty to Him. It is for your well being.
“as thyself” is critical here. Again, this is the difference between the feminine; caring FOR your family, and the masculine; caring ABOUT your family and wider tribe. If you care about somebody you don’t take their guns because they might (do) need them. If they care for somebody they assume to be their mommy, to take things that MIGHT cause harm to those they assume to have the mind of a child, thus making themselves a master over others.
God tells men that you must leave your parents and cleave unto your wife. These gun laws are government assuming to be a parent over the grown who are supposed to have left that governmental structure of the parental, having been raised up in the way that he must go, to be fully submitted to Holy God, and the head of his own house.
“Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.”
Next time somebody tells you, dear Christian, that Christianity is bigoted or not inclusive or that it discriminates, tell them that you agree. God says that He is God. Nothing could be more discriminatory than that.
“Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”
Jesus says that He is the strait gate that leads to life. Broad is the way of equality and inclusion, a polytheistic rule by whatever god you prefer, this rule by the feminine nature of feelings based decision making included. It is destruction at the hands of the devil.
Call it instinct if you must but no, this innate sense, the Natural Law of God written on a boy’s heart has him automatically preparing for the day when he must cleave unto a wife, strive if he might to be the leader of a tribe and to be its chief defender, but none the less, to be a warrior profitable to God and honorable among men. This is a beautiful thing of God that should bring a tear to a mother’s eye and that occasional, and oh so precious smile and nod of approval from a father. The father, as is his duty, may have to remind the mother to let the grown boy go. This is a hard thing, but it is the law of God, the days of feminine nurture being now complete.
The feminine rule is stunting and retarding, it must be rejected by all men and sadly, after many peaceful attempts, government(s) may have to be reminded by men that it is not our mommy. Western Civilization and the life of millions is at stake, don’t forget that. The way things are going, we’re soon to find out who the grown men are.

Making Biblical references about the actions of people who don’t believe in God is a waste of time and effort. A handful of the powerful and rich in America pay lip service to God and pretend to be religious. It is for the most part an act. And the vast majority of rich and powerful long ago ceased to even pretend…..and now openly display their belief that there is no God and that humans are the center of all things on earth.

@Dan,
Oh, Red Flag laws will be cloaked in pseudoscience, with official sounding terminologies, and be offered as reasonable and even salvific under color of law but make no mistake, the manner by which your government rules gives away their intentions. It’s a very worthy exercise to delve deeply and thoroughly into their belief system and compare it to a known good, and what greater good than God Almighty.
You see, the law-order of any society directly reflects its belief system(s). if it be a pygmy tribe, or early Hebrews, or indo-Europeans matters not. What matters is what a people believe because that belief becomes the foundation for establishing what the bounds of right and wrong are, what the law-order must be.
Everybody already knows what you’ve stated. Even the normies from Wall Street traders to soccer moms know what you’ve stated. It’s a mere skimming of the surface of what we know and reveals very little about what they’ll do, based, as I have made clear, on their belief system by which they mean to rule you.
The combination of the emerging occultism and fetishes now turned puritanical pseudoscience neo-witchcraft by Red Flag divination by our self-proclaimed betters, combined with their already firm foundation of belief that there is no god but self, so government is the meting out of wrath and justices and punishments for perceived sins against their belief order. They mean to rule you by these values!!! And if you resist they will make war on you by these laws of their gods.
They claim to own the reins of wrath and hell on earth. You need to know this, it is very important. On the one hand you will be burned at the stake as a heretic, and perhaps quite literally with the introduction of a law-system based in part on the witchcraft. And secondly, they already believe that government is absolute thereby you end up if not burned for blasphemy of their god/belief then as a stain on a tank tread.
They are setting not only the power structure to force their will, but the justification of belief system to make it all legal, nice and tidy.
The left has spent decades destroying the Holy Bible system and the Constitution; these being our former belief system and subsequent law-order. The devil isn’t stupid, unimaginative yes, but not stupid. Sir, this does matter, and it’s not a waste of time. Within every law-order is the means by which to destroy it. Understanding your enemy’s systems of belief and thereby power structure as its basis, is time very well spent.
You, I, nobody in their right mind wants a witchcraft based law-system. Evil is very real. Even those who don’t believe on the LORD know that evil real. This is very serious. The utter darkness that descends will bring true madness upon the people of this land. Good night, or, seek the Light of Christ, up to you.
Again, yes it does matter; belief is all that matters, in the end.

When most modern people think of fascism, they think of Adolf Hitler and the National Socialists (Nazis) of the era 1933-1945, but there is much more to the phenomenon than the peculiar German variety of it.
Benito Mussolini, widely-acknowledged as the founder of modern, 20th-century fascism, once stated of his creation that he wished he’d called it “corporatism,” for he believed fascism in its purest form to be the perfect merger of the state (government) and the corporation. “Everything within the state, nothing outside the state, everything for the state!” he was known to exclaim.
Creeping fascism of this variety has been a feature of American life for a half-century or more, but it really accelerated under Barack Obama, a man whose personal political philosophy mirrored aspects not only of fascism, but communism, Islam, black power and post-colonialism, amongst other things.
During his eight years in power, Obama’s evident friendship and collusion with G.E. CEO Jeff Immelt was, prima facie, an example of classical fascism in action. For those looking for an example of it, that is….
