The Byrds Meet Earl Scruggs

This is a worthy video of some of the travels of Earl Scruggs. At the end of the video you learn what a fundamentally decent man Earl was. By the way, I live right down the road from the Earl Scruggs museum, which is located in Shelby, N.C., his childhood stomping grounds.

Eons ago there was some music service (Napster?) that allowed you to download seemingly all the known music in the world. I went on it once. What I chose was a version of “Amazing Grace” by Flatt & Scruggs.
It was a great choice.

Great find. My dad was everything Blugrass as I was a kid into the Byrds and yes, Frank Zappa among others of the era. Those days and artists are history, but they will always be superior to garbage of today.
