North Carolina “Assault Weapons” Registration Bill

BY Herschel Smith
4 years, 11 months ago

I was watching this video and they got a bit long winded, so I bailed out.  But not before learning about a bill to require registration of so-called “assault weapons” in North Carolina.

You see, we get a routine influx of New Yorkers, Californians and others into N.C. that tilts our politics left, and this sort of thing comes up often.

But this might be a bit different given the proclivities of the current person who lives in the governor’s mansion.  I think I’ve located it here.  It does exactly that as I read it.  But if some other reader knows something else please let me know.  Also, I assume that GRNC knows more about this than I do, so I’ll try to check with them on this.

So there’s a fight right in my own yard to deal with.  It’s not just happening in Virginia.

Georgia will be blue soon too. We dodged the proverbial bullet last election by not electing the blue whale. I’m in the process of getting out of my county, one of the largest in growth in the state if not in the country a few years back. The local commission is turning blue and we recently squashed a rail system to the burbs because Marta (corrupt and inefficient) wanted a hand in our pockets. I suspect since it was a special election it failed, but as usual it’ll come up again until it passes. I see the metro creep and it doesn’t bode well. It might be too late going into next year before the festivities kick off.

As usual, this law would accomplish nothing because the people who do the shootings and the crimes don’t care about ANY law and will continue to do their thing with enthusiasm. There will be a difference, however…….this time you will see a whooooole bunch of Patriotic American Citizens refusing to comply.

The March of this sort of legislative horse pucky is inevitable, at least until something triggers a conflict that results in a reset. People will be faced with tough choices involving non compliance. This is why I think it’s imperative to stop this now in VA. Gov. Blackface jumped the proverbial shark and woke up the snoozing hordes.

I also suspect that this sort of crap legislation gets filed by the Dumbs every year and goes nowhere. This doesn’t mean it’s not a threat, because it is, it’s just not one worth getting upset over. Yet.

To me, it is interesting that the progs are interested in banning (or at least licensing) a class of weapons that only accounts for 200 or so of the several thousand homicides by firearm annually in the US. Even if they could somehow make MSRs disappear, we wouldn’t notice a difference in the homicide stats. Moreover, it seems that a knife is good enough for the Brits and feral teens in NYC.

ceefour: exactly! These unconstitutional “laws” target law abiding White citizens because we are the only people that stand between the communists and their tyrannical intentions. We must be disarmed, no questions asked. They will never give up and they have an unlimited supply of funds from the likes of Soros(Schwartz Gyorgy) and Bloomberg.

Georgia and Kentucky have these bills on the agenda as well this during this coming years sessions. KY has zero chance of passing, but, as we all know, they will never stop. And don’t forget, Trump’s tax bill moves millions of young lefties into no/low tax states. It’s all part of the plan.

These “laws” must be challenged before the USSC, as they are a violation of rights in light of Miller, Heller, and McDonald. The next time this is argued before the Court, it MUST be pointed out what the Court said in Miller. The Court said no one had shown them how a short barreled shotgun had any Military value, therefore they couldn’t say the Second Amendment protected the right to possess such a weapon. In other words, your .577 Holland and Holland double rifle is probably NOT protected by the 2A, but the BAR your Great Grandpappy brought back from the First War, and stashed in the closet, damned sure is!

It must be illustrated again and again that this is the same silly argument which could have been made circa 1900 about tubular magazine lever action rifles.

“Why would anybody NEED a gun he could load on Sunday and shoot all week? They’re just too dangerous! They are ONLY used to kill large numbers of people in short periods of time! …and that’s why we want our Police to have them!”

We moved to NC from CT. last year. Triggered by high taxes and cost of living. The insane gun laws up there brought them a very high rate of non-compliance, and a lack of respect and compliance for the laws that existed before. I see the same happening in Virginia, and if it proceeds to NC the same will happen.
We also have a place in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont. Vermont passed a gun law up there that has gotten them an almost 100% non-compliance rate.

Abolish religious faith. Turn the matriarchy into a baby murdering genocide pipeline, thus you create entire generations of girls who have zero respect for life, and they are putty in your elitist hands. Girls bathrooms & locker rooms, next disarm the white men, California, North Carolina, Virginia, Mass etc, then the world.
Only problem with their dirty stinking commie strategy, is when people stand, against their evil. We are not supposed to do that. We have been programmed to not bad-think. Orangemanbad is a statistical aberration, 64 million Deplorable’s are wrong, 104 counties in Virginia can’t have defied the Intelligentsia and Nomenklatura class, because muh ideology and dogma can’t be wrong, this time cultural marxism will work.
But the refusing to comply thing is a real pickle, only thing they can do is double down on what fails. One of these times it will work; Einstein was right about it being the definition of insanity.
Withdrawal of Consent. It works. The founders where sharp cookies, even when everything has been subverted that one thing remains totally viable and can not be destroyed, they can only destroy those who withdraw their consent. And that is even a worse pickle.
Not that that ever inhibited the sonofabitches.
The other problem they have is they can’t conceive of dirt people who refuse to put up with their elitist diktat. It is inconceivable their moral superiority is rejected out of hand in totality. That is impossible, they are the moral majority.

The dirt people are too stupid, they are not capable of managing themselves and the complexity of their “white toxic culture”, dirt people don’t have the intellectual ability nor sophisticated right-think to realize and accept when their betters know whats better for them than themselves.

Ooooh boy are they ever in for a reckoning. Particularly those northern yankee invaders and imports.

The Sherriff’s Office of Wake County has decided to close the Firearms Education Center to the public effective January 1. This facility was funded on the premise that it would be open to the public when not being used to train LEO’s. We use the facility for classes, live fire training, and several different shooting leagues.

I have no doubt that this is due to leftists moving down from up north. While I am from Jersey, I left there to escape the oppressive politics, unfortunately my old neighbors are not doing the same.

“Ragman” thinks there are no law abiding Black citizens who own firearms and are patriots. Ragman forgets that all the unconstitutional restrictive gun laws began as racist dictates to keep “Negroes” disarmed and unable to effectively defend against lynchings and “race massacres”, activities that were considered sport well into the 1960’s in America. Ragmen doesn’t grasp that the script has flipped: ALL lawful gunowners are now discriminated against, they are “the new negroes”. Defiled, lied about, hated, legislated against, deprived of their rights. Of course, ragman will reject these facts, it will insult his sensibilities to be associated with anything “Black” based on his comments…
