Thanks for putting that up. It was real interesting to watch, and it is worth anybody’s time.
I do wish that public 2A defenders would steer their phrasing towards the leading and aggressive edge of the argument, rather than trite defenses of the right to keep and bear arms. The latter is an easy and open chance for the other folks to compromise people into being allowed to have a shotgun in the house for a while longer while more pressing business is being done. And then those remaining shotguns will be got around to, sorry ’bout that but its for the children and nothing less than your last remaining shotgun will work, Comrade.
When you go with a more aggressive 2A argument: for instance, that the colonial militia in Massachusetts was defending its right to have the … wait for it … bestest and most dangerous weapons of their time (cannon and stocks of powder), your argument gives up less from the start. Too bad that mainstream 2A defenders fight from their (verbal) heels, rather than taking that fight to its comparative extreme of 1775 cannon back then = .50 BMG, cans, and modern battle rifles today, and that accepting anything else is just compromise on an NRA sort of level.
And that NRA level is a durned high level of compromise, no? I read today of an NRA spokesman who included the word “compromise” in his comment on the Richmond event. Well, OK, that org has not changed its stripes.
Anybody who has read this far and calls me a fool for discussing methods to argue with Commies: well, you’re likely right, and I have no doubt that all of your local intel and range cards are up to date.
As is your PT activity and that generally reliable indicator, Body Mass Index. I saw too much on the negative side, watching today’s Richmond event. There’s a reason why the other folks get a chuckle as to our capabilities: it’s because they’re right to chuckle.

I wouldn’t underestimate the discouraging effect that a few hundred untrained, uncoordinated, unidentifiable patriots can have on a large oppressive force. Creativity and life experience will yield, many times, as much or more than out and out combat. How good a shape do you need to be in to run a battery drill with a 5/16″ bit?

Have to agree with Quietus, in spite of the enormous number of people who turned the tide yesterday against any reprisal action, the majority of those folks are more like cosplayers than warriors. Obesity is not a plus, unless you see them as chum for the sharks, which is what they will be when it really goes hot.
At 65 I’m no longer that young warrior, but I’m still backpacking and hunting at 8-10,000′ in the Rockies, something that takes drive and willpower to accomplish. I have no desire to let the couch kill me.
