Deplatformed: How Big Tech Companies & Corporate America Subvert the Second Amendment
BY Herschel Smith4 years, 10 months ago
The question after reading this becomes: What should be done, if anything?
It’s difficult to imagine a situation where government interference in Big Tech is going to have the desired outcome. The result might be more and greater censorship than existed before. However, it is worth noting that Sen. Ted Cruz, not exactly known as a proponent of Big Government, has been at the forefront of attempts to hold Big Tech accountable for its censorship of conservative voices on the Internet.
But it’s quite possible that new laws and regulations are not required. What is instead required is a more rigorous enforcement of the laws and regulations that are already on the books. To wit: Are Facebook, Twitter and YouTube content-neutral platforms or are they editorial platforms? If the former, then it would seem that their case for being able to censor legal speech on their platforms is legally flimsy. If the latter, then they are responsible for everything posted on their platforms by every user. Similarly, if Google is intentionally manipulating its results to yield a politicized result, that is likely in violation of existing telecommunications statutes.
The American shift from capitalism to corporatism has had dire unintended consequences: Power has coalesced in both Washington, D.C. and many tech and media companies, such that the latter can undermine American rights and manipulate American political opinion with impunity, while the former abdicates its oath to defend the U.S. Constitution against all enemies, both foreign and domestic.
I do have one quibble. I don’t think corporatism + government creating power coalescence in the viper pit known as D.C. is unintended. I think it’s all quite intentional.

Italian dictator Benito Mussolini, acknowledged by many historical scholars as the founder of what is considered 20th century fascism, once expressed the view that his creation should not have been called “fascism,” but “corporatism” for the seamless manner in which it melded the state and the corporation.
The etymology of the word “fascism” is derived the Italian term fascismo is derived from fascio meaning “a bundle of sticks”, ultimately from the Latin word fasces. This was the name given to political organizations in Italy known as fasci, groups similar to guilds or syndicates.
The manner in which the top corporations are acting, de facto, as the ideological enforcement arm of the deep-state is perhaps unique in history, certainly in our (U.S.) history. Ideologically-speaking, the deep-state itself is an amalgam of communism, atheism, post-modern nihilism, Islam, and cultural marxism, amongst other things. As the corporate enforcers of the status quo now prove, fascism, too, is part of that potent and toxic brew.

Glory be to God, Herschel! What was your first clue?

Well, the obvious follow on to this is that they’re doing the same thing to the 1st amendment.

@Francis,
“What was your first clue?”
Genesis Chapters 2 and 3. Then there’s also Eccl 9:3, Jer 17:9, Gen 6:5, Gen 8:21, Ps 14:1-3, Rom 3:10-12, Rom 5:12, John 3:19, Eph 2:1,5, Heb 11:6, etc., etc., etc.

@GeorgiaBoy61, Now that’s funny; so fascio, a bundle of sticks, would be translated into the king’s English as; Fag. Thanks for the laugh.
Yes, yes I see our problem, it’s top down command and control by those who follow after devils.
Here’s a clue:
“Moreover thou shalt provide out of all the people able men, such as fear God, men of truth, hating covetousness; and place such over them, to be rulers of thousands, and rulers of hundreds, rulers of fifties, and rulers of tens: And let them judge the people at all seasons: and it shall be, that every great matter they shall bring unto thee, but every small matter they shall judge: so shall it be easier for thyself, and they shall bear the burden with thee. If thou shalt do this thing, and God command thee so, then thou shalt be able to endure, and all this people shall also go to their place in peace.”
So choose able men who fear God, are of truth, and hate covetousness, to handle everything at the lowest possible level, and then you, the people, will go in peace.
Moses was warned as were we: “Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.” John Adams
Why did people want the 10 commandments out of courtrooms and off of county and statehouse properties? Because they are the devils workers of inequity.
It’s strange day but I find myself advocating for a Theological(?) Republic. The Judges in the above verses are to judge out of God’s law and commands in ordinances, and are NOT to “make law.” God’s Law is a covenant, a constitution, a contract in blood. Only God makes Law, break His law and you and your nation perish. One does not simply walk away from a blood covenant with God. That’s not how this works. The just answer to the breaking of a blood covenant is death to the violator. That’s how it works.
Was a Christian America really that bad, well, was it? Enjoy the Judgement, you deserve it.
