Trash Pick After The Richmond Rally
BY Herschel Smith4 years, 9 months ago
Thousands flooded the surrounding streets of the Capitol Monday for a gun-rights rally, however, some locals in the area say the roads are the cleanest they’ve seen in quite some time.
There’s a reason for that, says Matthew Keisling, a protester who made sure that once he shared his message, he went above and beyond to protect it.
“I’ve been in the area when there have been other protests and demonstrations and people leave a lot of trash behind and it waters down the message,” Keisling said.
Good. It’s the right and decent thing to do. If you pack it in, pack it out, and make sure to pack anything else you see out.
This leaves a good impression on impressionable people, regardless of what it does or doesn’t do for the communists.

I do not give a flying phuque what they think. Nothing we do would please them. It comes down to BFYTW.

You didn’t listen, and that’s a bad attitude.
The goal wasn’t and isn’t to affect what the progs do. The goal was something entirely different, and had an entirely different audience.
Besides, it’s the right thing to do, just like when you go backpacking. Pack it in, pack it out. I wouldn’t have had any respect for the rally-goers if they’d trashed the place. So why should anyone else? (and no, I’m not talking about the statists, who, once again, were NOT the intended audience of the event).
Patriots are simply going to have to learn to think, behave, and target differently or there is nothing but failure in the future.

Like when I go shooting on BLM land near my house. It is a popular shooting spot and a lot of slobs leave their trash/targets out there. Last weekend, I was out there with my daughter and when we were done, I was picking up all my shell casings and shotgun hulls. She asked why I was doing that, and I told her as trashy as it was, when I leave, I will know that at least none of it was MY trash.
Anyway, I always bring along the big black 55 gal. trash bags and will fill a couple and haul them off, when it is safe to do so. Sometimes, it is just too dangerous to go downrange to pick up trash. Sadly, it doesn’t take very long to fill two of those trash bags.
