No one who did anything like that would be allowed near a well-trained, experienced and disciplined unit.

That was fucking intense ! I don’t get the reason to shoot live bodies though. Armor or no armor, don’t shoot your buddy in the nuts. Might leave a bad impression on his mind.

I understand SF do this as a matter of course.
It should be rolled out to SWAT teams. They can video it and we can all watch.

This is actually an extremely well trained and disciplined unit. Its Russian Special Forces. If I recall correctly this is one of their elite counter terrorist units.
Recall the SAS train with live individuals down range, and are famous for shooting targets behind the Queen.
Not saying this is something that anyone training on their own should do, but just because we think its crazy does not mean it is.

I would like to send some of our SWAT goons to this training and see how long it takes them to brown their pants. Don’t let them shoot the drills though; they will likely miss and kill a good guy.

Can I glue card board targets around myself? with a little luck, their training will kick in and they’ll totally kill the targets.
The defense of this is amusing to me, almost laughable. The U.S. SOC guys are the best in the world, and they don’t train by shooting at each other’s faces.

There is heaps to be learned knowing you can engage a target and NOT shoot what you aren’t supposed to.
Absolutely dangerous, and also informative to feal that bullet pass safely, for those of is who haven’t been I combat.
I have trained with a guy who does similar drills with select students. It’s not for the masses, but useful non the less.
