Comment Of The Week

Ned.

I’ve been following George Webb and Paul Cottrell since you first posted here. They were talking about the people admitted to hospitals with covid symptoms all having low vitamin D and C. Paul Cottrell mentioned that almost everyone in NYC has low vitamin D for obvious reasons. So the government remedy is to keep everyone locked inside.

It’s interesting that so many people tested who were found to have the virus had no symptoms. A test of homeless people showed a large number with the virus and no symptoms. Possibly being homeless they are getting enough sun to keep their vitamin D levels up. George Webb opined that had the bioweapon been released in California on the beaches in the summer, no one would have likely ever known, as no one would ever have presented with symptoms.

I personally know of two patients who recovered rapidly from using hydroxychloroquine. It works when prescribed correctly and soon enough. I saw a post on twitter where a woman with lupus who is prescribed hydroxychloroquine sent some to her daughter who had the virus and couldn’t shake it for weeks. Cleared it right up. Apparently within hours she improved. Twitter deleted the mother’s account the next day.

Of course Twitter deleted her post.  They want people to die.  Twitter sucks.  They’re staffed by wicked people.

I too have read the reports of the relationship between Vitamin D and Covid-19 symptoms.

Since I feel it’s my responsibility to protect my family (many of whom are elderly), I’ve been checking the medical and scientific journals several times a week to keep on top of new developments. There is a growing list of things one can do to fight SARS-Cov-2. Since I think I have hours of research into this, I’ll summarize the highlights for you and your readers here. Some of this is widely know to those who pay attention, others not so much.

    Somewhat well known:

Vitamin D: The declining ability of aging skin to make this a partial explanation for why it hits the elderly so hard.
Zinc: Widely known at this point to inhibit viral infections. A meta analysis of zinc studies for the common cold found that, once you get sick, doses of at least 75mg are needed to make a difference in colds.
Melatonin: Known to improve resistance to viral infections. The decline in melatonin production with age is thought to partly explain why older people are getting hit hard.
Selenium: This has well regarded to improve resistance to viral infections.

Less well known: Several computer simulation studies have now been published targeting different parts of the virus and its infection and reproduction processes. Though these types of studies don’t provide the clinical trials one would like for proof, several substances that are very safe, fairly cheap, and in many cases part of herbal medicines with long traditions of use for illness pop up as promising.

Luteolin: This bioflavenoid is computed to be slightly more likely/effective in attacking the spike proteins than quercetin. It’s harder to find but available in pill form. It’s also found in chamomile and peppermint along with many foods.

Rutin: This should attack the SARS-Cov-2 Mpro protein involved in viral replication.

Quercetin: A bioflavenoid should attack the spike and the Mpro proteins. It is also listed by at least one source as a zinc ionophore. Supplements are available and it’s common in many foods.

Riboflavin (aka vitamin B2): This also high on the list of computed inhibitors of Mpro.

Vitamin B5: Also high on the list of computed inhibitors of Mpro.

Vitamin B12: Simulations show this to inhibit some processes involved in replication of SARS-Cov-2. Since ability to absorb this declines with age (hence the delivery by some doctors in shot form to bypass the digestive tract) could partly explain why the elderly are hit so hard.

NAC (N-acetylcysteine): This has been shown in studies to protect the elderly from colds and flu. It is a computed inhibitor of Mpro in its own right, and is a precursor to glutathione, which also should inhibit Mpro.

I can provide references if desired, but this should be enough to go on to find additional information. I find generally that scholar.google.com, with the search year restricted to 2020 and the term “SARS-COV-2” with whatever key word (such as ivermectin or quercetin) you want to research yields the most hits. I hope this helps some of you.

You know what’s amusing about this? Research and statistics are going to show that a healthy diet, exercise, sunshine, vit c/d and minerals help the body to fight off (this) disease. So, the people who didn’t listen to their grandmother are the ones who get the sickest. This is indicative of a dying a civilization, this need for a new thing, an officialdom, some human scienceism as authority.

I’m not against research and proofs but seriously; take high quality vit/min complex, get plenty of sunshine, exercise, sweat (yes sweat), get dirty (the bacteria of life is in the dirt, stop sterilizing everything and go have a mud fight), pray, be close and loving with a community of people, and take your teaspoon of cod liver oil or go to bed without supper, young man! This is the sustenance of life.

Americans are so far from God’s creation (he lamented in vain).

Some take the tree of life as allegory, I’m not as sure. (insert your own conclusions here.) Eat the food God gave you, the way He created it, to live longer and be healthier. It struck me years ago that the closer people live to their sustenance the happier and healthier they are. It’s not rocket surgery statistics, the answers are in the Holy Bible.

France’s first known case of CV19 was in December. I maintain that it swept through TN starting in Dec and into Jan.

    @Fred
If Europe was experiencing cases in December, then it could have been there and also here a month earlier.
Prior to the Jan 31st ban, on average 8,000 plus people a DAY traveled to the US from China over the course of the year. How many came here during December and January? Who knows the exact number, but probably north of a quarter million Chinese.
There is absolutely no way this thing wasn’t over here, everywhere, by the time we banned travel from China.
