Yeesh! What a bunch of entitled, fat ass geezers with expensive toys on our expense. I’m talking about the cops.
Oh, and I don’t want to hear another word about how great Texas is. Texas is just like every other state. All fifty states are full of little tyrants. Close your eyes. Go out into public. Open them. Somewhere near you is a tyrant.

Sorry, but I don’t buy it, any more than I believe that the anti-constitutional carry Sheriffs in Alabama are ones who came from NY, or the anti-constitutional carry Sheriffs in NC are from out of state. “Boss Hogg” lives everywhere. They would have done this without an influx of people from California.

These law enforcement officials are clearly and without question violating the constitution; a document many of us swore to defend against all enemies foreign and domestic. It would be best if the federal government brought charges against them before helpless citizens have to resort to defending themselves against tyranny.

You may want to consider leaving before then. Trying to become part of a community takes time (years in most cases).
When things get fugly, strangers will not be as welcome and you may find yourself not being trusted, or worse. We moved to the “right place” eight years ago and it took about four years to become a local.
