Chick-fil-A CEO suggests white people shine the shoes of black people to express ‘shame’ over racism

BY Herschel Smith

Via David Codrea, this pitiful understanding of theology and life.

Chick-Fil-A CEO Dan Cathy says it’s time to find strangers and “shine their shoes” to combat racism in the U.S.

The Christian businessman, long reviled by LGBT activists for his support of the traditional definition of marriage, suggested the idea while weighing in on Black Lives Matter protests across the nation.

He made the remarks during a June 14 panel at Passion City Church in Atlanta.

“I invite folks just to put some words to action here and if we need to find somebody that needs to have their shoes shined, we need to just go right on over and shine their shoes,” Mr. Cathy told Christian rapper Lecrae and Passion City Founder Louie Giglio.

“Whether they got tennis shoes on or not — maybe they got sandals on — it really doesn’t matter,” he continued. “But there’s a time in which we need to have some personal action here. Maybe we need to give them a huge too. … I bought about 1,500 of these [shoeshine brushes] and I gave them to all our Chick-Fil-A operators and staff a number of years ago. So any expressions of a contrite heart, of a sense of humility, a sense of shame, a sense of embarrassment begat with an apologetic heart — I think that’s what our world needs to hear today.”

The 70-minute discussion also featured Mr. Cathy urging Americans not to “let this moment pass” or to “point fingers” at looters.

“[We had] about a dozen Chick-fil-A restaurants vandalized in the last week, but my plea would be for the white people, rather than point fingers at that kind of criminal effort, would be to see the level of frustration and exasperation and almost the sense of hopelessness that exists on some of those activists within the African-American community,” he said.

First of all, I would like to take this chance, unequivocally, to point my finger at looters.  That’s called stealing, and it violates the eighth commandment.  The Biblical punishment for that is to become an indentured servant to the offended victim until the debt is paid in multiples.

Now that’s done, let’s reiterate what we’ve discussed before concerning this mistaken notion of collective sin.

” … the Biblical doctrine is, as Deuteronomy 24:16 makes clear, one of individual responsibility … guilt cannot be shifted to others or passed on to the people around a man.  Guilt is non-transferable; a disposition or nature can be inherited, but not guilt.”

Finally, my grandfather barely had an elementary school education.  He fought in WWI, and upon discharge went to work for the railroad.  He broke his back while working, and didn’t miss a day of work because he had a family to support.

His only son and my father, worked hard all of his life to provide for me and my siblings.  The hard work over two generations enabled me to go to school, where I had to work hard to become an engineer.  To be sure, my life is one that exemplifies grace, without which I’m sure I would live in a ditch somewhere.  So I don’t need a sermon from anyone on the effects of grace in my life.

But God uses secondary causes too, and lack of work, slothfulness, is also a sin.  I am not the recipient of any sort of privilege, and I won’t be treated that way by the morally preening but ignorant Dan Cathy, any politician, or any wealth redistributionist.

Those vacuous, second grader level sermonetes by rich people bore me.

*sigh* American Christians just aren’t serious men.

I sense a grave wickedness in that statement.

Listen very very carefully Christian men: If you want to go do a good work, then go do it, not to cover your “shame”, only Christ Jesus can cover a man’s guilt and shame and sin debt. I said; only Jesus Christ can make us free from the law of sin and death. No good work whatsoever can relieve your shame, ever. “But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.” Isaiah 64:6

“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.” Ephesians 2:8-9

It is a miserable sod indeed who is trying to atone to men, let alone for sins that are not his own. What a cesspool of an idea fraught with pure hopelessness. Seriously, you might as well work at the puppy rescue kennel for the rest of your life to try and rack up points or something. How stupid is that?

Here is the Law of God, Deuteronomy 24:16
“The fathers shall not be put to death for the children, neither shall the children be put to death for the fathers: every man shall be put to death for his own sin.”

Here is the Law of God (case law) from Ezekiel 18:20
“The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him.”

But to be sure, every man belongs to God. “Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die.” Ezekiel 18:4 (I love that verse, no escape) But sadly far too many will have a second death, and that’s the death God is talking about. “And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:” Hebrews 9:27

There is only one way to be found just, to have your “shame” covered, that is by the blood of the resurrected Christ of God, Jesus, who died on the cross to save your soul.

Mr. Cathy should know this about shame and sin. It’s Bible 101, but it’s also, even if you are not a student of the bible, which all serious Christian men must be, but none the less, it is our shame and subsequent guilt that the Spirit of God uses to convict our soul. Every born again believer should have this, in one manner or another within their own testimony of coming to Holy God for forgiveness. If you pick at that scab, you will find that it was shame as the underlying reasons for your need of salvation. Mr. Cathy is without excuse, I say, for this infantile statement.

    This is sin:
“And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons. And they heard the voice of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God amongst the trees of the garden. And the Lord God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art thou? And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself.” Genesis 3:7-10

Adam was ashamed of himself having his sin exposed and coming to the realization of being a sinner. Sure they were naked, but it’s the nakedness before God, coming to the knowledge that He sees all of you, all those things you hide from everybody, your secret little pet sins, even those, God knows it all.

    Cathy should know this.

If you want to go do a good work, then go do it, not to cover your shame, only Christ Jesus can cover a man’s sin debt. You do these good works because you love the One who loved you first, and you want to please Him. You can do a public work, but oh the joy of your Father in heaven and shout of His angels for those who do His precious service without a word, just doing what needs to be done to further the Kingdom of God without any fanfare or a word.

Shining a man’s shoes is not a serious thing, it’s what in infant would do to get the approval of men having his just reward in this life instead of laying up treasures heaven.

Mr. Herschel, this is also stealing. Collection on a debt that is not due is theft, that’s the Law. I owe them nothing, if they come to me seeking just recompense, they might get it. I know the Law.

This is what it is NOT:
“[The LORD] Keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, and that will by no means clear the guilty; visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children’s children, unto the third and to the fourth generation.” Exodus 34:7

Generational blessings and curses belong to the Lord ONLY, that’s NOT what we are talking about here. This is about interactions among men. Nobody is claiming generational knowledge except the devil has planted that notion in the minds of the Godless. Only God determines the destiny of men. This is important: the idea of Reparations is of the Devil. The just antidote to slavery is freedom. Nobody is keeping anybody from doing as they would, except of course, your wholly wicked and perverse tyrannical governments.

Dan Cathy should stick to making chicken sammiches.

“American Christians just aren’t serious men”

Ergo, if they are not capable of “expressing earnest purpose or thought” then they cannot be recognized by God as men or Christians. They are the sissyfied residue of feminism.

Jesus set the example when he drove the ancient corporateocracy out of the Temple. What most Christians don’t grasp is the enormity of that endeavor. It took several hours because there were 30 acres of vermin to clear.

God and the Apostles told us to avoid the vermin and drive them out of the congregation. Today, not only are they welcomed into the flock but in some cases are worshiped, excused by the Devils mantra, “hate the sin but love the sinner.” Where is that in the Bible.

God hates sin and the sinner. He gave us free will to set our own path, to make out own decisions. The ability to choose different courses of action based on the concepts of moral responsibility, praise and guilt, unimpeded. Life is a test and we make our own decisions and we are judged accordingly. Loving the sinner denies free will and is blasphemy.

You have to have a conscience, which allows you to recognize good and evil, right and wrong, to be a Christian. Cathy and Judas have a lot in common: the purse is their God. Cathy is a member in good standing of the corporateocracy and what he did in public is merely the physical expression of what he has been doing all of his life, getting on his knee to Satan.

I’m glad to see it. It is opening people’s eyes to the fact that leadership is not an atribute of the capitalist dictatorship ruleing this country. They are all followers of Mammon.

This brings up a great question; how does one then, love thy neighbor?

“Master, which is the great commandment in the law? Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.” Matthew 22:36-40

Penses has rightly pointed out the root of the problem; the fear of men, instead of the fear of God. Shining shoes and appeasement is NOT the way of Christ. Jesus drave out the money changers for their own good, He loved them, and His Father’s house and He loves them that come to worship rightly, in the fear of the Lord.

Loving your neighbor means that you tell them the truth, however hard it may be for you to utter and for them to hear. If you fear men you will lie to them either by subtlety or commission or omission, and you will lie to yourself, and most importantly you lie to Holy God, a sin.

    This is loving your neighbor:
“When I say unto the wicked, O wicked man, thou shalt surely die; if thou dost not speak to warn the wicked from his way, that wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand.” Ezekiel 33:8
“And daily in the temple, and in every house, they ceased not to teach and preach Jesus Christ.” Acts 5:42
“Therefore watch, and remember, that by the space of three years I ceased not to warn every one night and day with tears.” Acts 20:31

    And this right here:
“For I could wish that myself were accursed from Christ for my brethren, my kinsmen according to the flesh:” Romans 9:3

Firstly, the Apostle is NOT asking God to curse Him or trying to make some transaction with God where he goes to hell and others are saved. That wouldn’t be done because he is saved by Jesus, and is no more accursed of God. But he is expressing his love for his kin who are lost in such a way that if it were possible, he would do it. His kin needed salvation, and still do. Find a preacher who has the guts to state this; the Apostle loved his own people and had great sorrow and heaviness of heart that they might be saved by the Gospel of Jesus Christ who died for their sin. So, I guess it’s ok to love your own people, Tribe and Nation. How about that? But make no mistake, he did, and we are called to warn every nation and every tongue. Instead of shining the shoes of blacks, how about you tell them the Gospel of Jesus Christ so that they be converted out of the sins of CIA drug addiction, payday loans, free daddy gubmint stuff, and broken families, on and on, not that these things don’t plague all the people and especially the poor of America.

There is only one cure for the so called Race Issue; that’s to make all men brothers in Christ. That’s love.

Shining the shoes of a hell bound sinner is NOT the way of our Lord, how many times had Jesus told Iscariot the Gospel? Jesus didn’t love him to death. That’s what American Christians are doing; loving their neighbors to death because they fear men more than God they don’t want to step on anybodies little feelings that they might have. The first commands that Jesus mentions in the verses at the top are our relationship with God, and only after that is squared away can we rightly approach our neighbors with the hard truth of death and hell or the gift of life eternal in Christ Jesus.

I don’t know if Mr. Cathy shared the Gospel in the 70 minute “discussion” but give me 70 minutes with a captive crowd and that’s all you will hear, even if they end up stoning me for it. This is the love toward our neighbor that we have in Christ Jesus.

There is only one who can change the heart of a man, and it ain’t the shoeshine boy.

That’s true. But not everyman is ELECT of God. I may own a variety of clay pots, but the one that is my special pot, was made personally by me, and shaped by me, because it REFLECTS my handiwork. And therein lies the massive, earth-shattering difference. God it is who chooses, NOT man.

“Again: if God has chosen only certain ones to salvation, why are we told that God ‘now commandeth all men everywhere to repent’(Acts 17:30)? That God commandeth ‘all men’ to repent is but the enforcing of His righteous claims as the moral Governor of the world. How could He do less, seeing that all men everywhere have sinned against Him? Furthermore; that God commandeth all men everywhere to repent argues the universality of creature responsibility. But this Scripture does not declare that it is God’s pleasure to ‘give repentance’(Acts 5:31) to all men everywhere.” (p. 103). ” A. W. Pink, Sovereignty of God

God is sovereign. He is it who ALONE chose Adamkind, and not all hominids- and even confirmed the same, by incarnating into ONE race, and ONE race, only [Amos 3:2, Eph. 1:4, Rom. 8:28, Col. 2:9].

cf. Solomon Jegede Enaboakpe- “Black Man: Not Descendant of Adam”

Non-whites are NOT of the Elect of God- never have been, and those that did (Acts 8:26) were UNABLE TO PROCREATE, and did not have a valid hierarchy to pass on Apostolic Succession! And even the Kingdom of God has servants, as well as ‘king’s kids.’ [Ps. 84:10b] Even the Holy Spirit FORBADE the evangelization outside of Christendom [ Acts 16:6] (Roman Europe of the First Century, A.D.)

The Shepherd of Hermas which is found in The Ante-Nicene Fathers. The Great Mysteries in the Building of the Militant and Triumphant Church, Chapter XIX:
“From the first mountain, which was black, they that believed are the following: apostates and blasphemers against the Lord, and betrayers of the servants of God. To these repentance is not open; but death lies before them, and on this account also are they black, for their race is a lawless one.”

And the fallacy of Egalitarianism, as the outgrowth of the HERESY of pan-racialism, was a political strategy, used by Papal Rome, to cement her false claims of universal jurisdiction! And it was aped by the Prots in their ‘missionary endeavors’, merely as an excuse for their own Imperialism, in the mis-applicability of the Gospel, [witness the clear racial delimiters in Ez. 9:2, Tob. 4:12, and Sir. has brought us to BLM, and the anarchic satanism of the modern age.

“If Christ was ‘made a curse’ for all of Adam’s race then none are now ‘under condemnation.’” – But first you have to BE of Adam’s race, to get even that far!
When we say that God is sovereign in the exercise of His Love, we mean that He loves whom He chooses. God does not love everybody; if He did, He would love the Devil. Why does God not love the Devil? Because there is nothing in him to love; because there is nothing in him to attract the heart of God. Nor is there anything to attract God’s love in any of the fallen sons of Adam, for all of them are, by nature, ‘children of wrath’ (Eph. 2:3).
If then there is nothing in any member of the human race to attract God’s love, and if, notwithstanding, He does love some, then it necessarily follows that the cause of His love must be found in Himself, which is only another way of saying that the exercise of God’s love towards the fallen sons of men is according to His own good pleasure,” (pp. 24-25). Your interpretation of Acts 16:6 is wrong, that happened only for a period of time because the Apostles needed to focus on Macedonia at the time (for whatever reason God had ordained). Later evangelism did occur in Asia (Acts 19:10).

God did not chose “Adamkind” (whatever on earth that is). God chose only some to be called His, splitting peoples, tribes, families, nations, kith and kin.

    @Fred,

I can answer that question, and you know the answer! Yes, the only begotten Son of God. And if one believes anything other than the Council of Nicea (following Athanasius rather than Arius), s/he is not a follower and not a Christian. The end. Although the Son, the Spirit, and the Father are all there at Jesus’ baptism in Matthew 3:16-17 it is made clear that the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost are one in 1 John 5:7. So, I would conclude from a layman’s perspective that God manifests himself to us in 3 distinct persons and/but they are one God 1 Timothy 2:5. This is the Holy Trinity explained, ahem, not that anybody fully understands it with our limited capacity.

Manifest is the important word here. It means that’s how He chooses to show or reveal Himself to us, as and when He would.

Fred said: “But you never answered my question; is Jesus the Son of God?

If this question was asked of me, the answer is, of course. He is the Son of the Father, He is fully God and fully man, just as the Ecumenical Councils state, and He is the only name under heaven, etc. He is the center of the Universe, in that He is beloved by the Father, is incarnate as the ‘Last Adam’ and His People [Matt. 1:21] are the object and reason for his coming to Earth. But, as I showed (o foolish and blind of heart!) from both Protestant and Orthodox authors, that that does NOT presume that all hominids, all over the earth, and all over time (i.e., Universalism) are going to be either ‘saved’ or ‘redeemed’ from Adam’s curse. Some are damned from all eternity, and others are passed by- it’s merely how you wish to observe that factoid, and nothing more… if you are being true to the Word of God. ‘Therefore, o man, thou art without excuse,’ as St. Paul says. [ Rom. 2:1]

Herschel states, “We part theological ways. Yours, I confess, is a strange understanding to me.”

Truth is strange… to a heretic. Hear me out. Every single Protestant is a heretic, in that they have the same ideological/theological starting point- the theology of Rome. In the West, every Protestant confession is based on a false application of the doctrine of the procession the Trinity, brought about by Rome’s aberrant position on the Filioque. It upends the Trinity, makes the Holy Spirit a creature, and reduces the Godhead to a Binity. This view (of the West) is not new or ‘strange,’ but it IS/WAS normative to the other 4/5ths of Christendom- i.e., the Orthodox Patriarchs of the East- what is falsely called ‘Eastern Orthodoxy.’ Here is a link to a Westerner explaining this dichotomy: http://www.anthonyflood.com/farrellghdprolegomena.htm

Now, as to your point, Herschel:’Whether one is chosen has nothing whatsoever to do with color of skin, for that would undo the very notion of being chosen IN SPITE of worthiness (lest no one should boast).”

Actually is has EVERYTHING to do with it. A false god is just as bad as a false human… because both are… FALSE! Do you have control over your ancestry? No- but your parents, do! Do you have any say in your procreation? No, but your parents, do. So, you do NOT choose your color of skin, in spite of ‘worthiness.’ So, your argument is ludicrous. Your birth is every bit an act over which you have no control, as one’s salvation. You cannot claim ancestry, but you CAN acknowledge God’s providence OF that ancestry. Even the faithless Jews tacitly (if unworthily- for the covenant has passed them by) acknowledge this, when they say in their morning prayers, “I thank Thee, o God that I was born a Jew, etc.” So, we’ve dismissed that cavil.

I believe you are prating on from a standpoint that ‘all men are created equal’- but that is not the Word of God, it is a man’s fallacious statement, that we now see has NOTHING to do with Crime Stats, Abortion stats, Educational Stats, cultural stats, etc. Do you stand with the word of God, or do you substitute in its’ place, the ‘doctrines of men,’ to use standard Prot. terminology?

“Your interpretation of Acts 16:6 is wrong, that happened only for a period of time because the Apostles needed to focus on Macedonia at the time (for whatever reason God had ordained). Later evangelism did occur in Asia (Acts 19:10).”

BUT NOT the REAL Asia, but the ‘Asia’ of the First Century- Ephesus is NOT in China- the provinces of ‘Asia’ in the Epistles are the provinces which are/were located (still) in the bounds of the Roman Empire! Don’t read into the Bible, that which is not there!

“God did not chose “Adamkind” (whatever on earth that is). God chose only some to be called His, splitting peoples, tribes, families, nations, kith and kin.”

Do you even understand basic English? What is Kith and Kin, but genetically related groups of people to a common ancestor? YHWH God DID split the children of ADAM (as if you don’t know what I mean by that… Adam was the special creation of God, AFTER the non-White races appeared on the scene- Adam is NOT the procreator of all hominidity- that is genetically/biologically impossible, unless you are some ICR 7/24 fundie, whose head is in the sand, (having twisted the Word of God to fit your blasphemous, ‘the Negro is my brother baloney’ to not appear [sic] ‘racist.’) unwilling to look at real, honest science from before the last 100 years, to note that it is only in the White, Caucasian races that ANY culture or civilization has come- even the Buddha has blue eyes, for crying out loud! All humans are NOT related to the three sons of Noah, and the flood was not universal- otherwise, Babylonian and Egyptian records could not exist…..

No, Herschel, you have either not thought through these things (I have, for over forty years) or you have pretended they don’t matter. they do- that’s why I put down the children’s quote, YOU HAVE TO GO THROUGH THIS, if you call yourself a Christian. All else is blasphemy to the Lord God.

Fred, sorry, but Herschel has far more understanding of the Mystery of the Holy Trinity than you do. One HAS to study the Fathers, or one is GOING TO GO ADRIFT. As a famous saint (Cyprian) once said, ‘YOu cannot have God for Father, if you do not have the Church for Mother.’ He’s correct- now, I am not an RC cleric, and I have great respect for serious, studied Protestantism (I knew and corresponded with RJ Rushdoony, for goodness’ sake)but the average protestant layman is widely divergent from the Apostles, the Fathers, and the saints of the Church, because of the fallacy of Private interpretation, even though the Bible condemns it! [II Pet. 1:20]

I figured this out, before I became Orthodox, when I had to write a paper, and came across a book called ‘Must God Remain Greek?’ It was written by: a) a Protestant, and b) a non-White, coming from a c) excessively Liberal (read, heretical) P.O.V. https://www.amazon.com/Must-God-Remain-Greek-Cultures/dp/0800624491

IT was then that I realized, (30 years ago) that there was a CONCERTED EFFORT to remove the Incarnation of Jesus from ALL theology, to make ‘god’ (not the true one, but a wax nose ‘god’) from ALL Western society, that we now see in all the ‘cancel culture’ and ‘Woke’ heresy all around us.

One CAN remove Greek constructs about God, of course. It has been done in our churches, for the last five-plus generations: but IF ONE DOES SO, you remove the doctrine of who and what God is, how Jesus became incarnate, and for whom He died, when you do so!

In other words, you have what St. Paul calls ‘another gospel.’ This is, at base, what Herschel is wrestling with, over my comments right now (or he should be!) But the fact is, Jesus God- the everlasting, predestinating Savior of ‘His People’ was formed, educated, spoke and thought in Greek language; (the fallacy that Christ only spoke Aramaic, is BS) the LXX was the version of Scripture used by Christ AND the Apostles; the Seven Ecumenical Councils were all held, and their proceedings recorded, in the Greek language; Constantine the first christian Roman emperor, built his city in GREEK, not Roman Lands; and our Western Civ rests on the rock of Greek thought, thereby.

Remove Christ from his Greek definitions? Sure, IF YOU WANT ANOTHER CHRIST, and ANOTHER GOSPEL… which is what BLM is giving us, right now.
    Anathema.

    @John+ and Fred,

Interesting (and somewhat contentious) conversation. I don’t like being insulted over my own blog, and John’s comments are bordering on insulting. I also feel that the comments are insulting to Fred.

So Fred and I exchanged a message in which I had stated to him that I “suspected that John is Eastern Orthodox.” I was right.

I have had formal, graduate level theological training at RTS.

Yes, there is a difference between what we view as the right view of the procession of the H.S. You make a huge deal of it, I wouldn’t make quite the huge deal of it, but don’t relinquish my view. Not enough to meet you on the roadway and refuse to call you a brother.

Yes, the Eastern view of salvation is somewhat different than mine. To you, justification requires a synergy of action, to me, I am a committed Calvinist. It would not be completely fair to call you a Pelagian, but it would indeed be fair to say that you’re anti-Augustinian. But you see, that wouldn’t require me to refuse to call you brother if I met you on the roadways. I have Armenian friends who do not understand and/or refuse to accept the so-called doctrines of grace and God’s sovereignty in election. I still get along with them as long as they don’t mind if I chuckle from time to time.

There are other differences, e.g., your lower view of Scripture than mine (Sola Scriptura), your reverence for icons, etc.

I could go on and on about the differences, but I could also discuss the points of agreement. How did I know you were Eastern Orthodox?

The tell tale sign each and every time, without fail, one might say infallible. You connect God’s election, man’s choice, or who is “chosen,” you pick your salvific method, with race and ethnicity, each and every time.

The Eastern Orthodox have allowed their Jew-hatred, and hatred of every other race, to dictate their theology, rather than allowing theology to dictate the balance of life. Of course, this is backwards.

One catalyst for this is your refusal to accept the doctrine of total depravity and the complete deadness of man in salvation, or in other words, refusal to accept the true federal headship of Adam in the fallen nature of mankind. You have a different view of original sin than the Pauline doctrine. It isn’t necessary here to take a deep dive into views of the origin of the soul, whether [a] traducianism or [b] creationist, in order to grasp this main point.

Man isn’t really fallen in Eastern Orthodoxy, he is more a tabula rasa. That may be a little unfair, but it’s close. Thus your view of salvation can adopt more of an intertwining of salvation with race, ethnicity, etc., as long as it doesn’t include Jews, or other races (fill in the blank).

Here is a summary of what I WILL TELL YOU concerning this. If you believe the Jews put Christ to death, you do not believe in the Pauline doctrines. The sins of each and every one of His elect put Christ to death on the cross, for without that sacrifice, there would be no salvation. That was His primary mission – to pay for the sins of His people. If you do not believe that you are guilty of this, or that you would have made a different choice had you been there in the crowd that day, you do not understand salvation, nor original sin, nor what you have been forgiven for.

The elect of God is no respecter of persons, race, ethnicity, birth, or geography.

Now. While this is mainly a gun and politics blog, from time to time I will call things out on a more theological and philosophical level, and of course, I leave the comments as a place to converse on these things.

That’s okay, as long as the comments don’t detract from the main points I’m trying to make.

And as long as the comments are respectful.

The church is not my mother. I was born of water, of the flesh; this is the first birth and I’ve been born again by the Spirit. Nothing aggravates Catholics more than knowing that true believers have the Holy Spirit both in them and guiding them. I’ve sat in several kinds of heresy and He bade me leave. This is a fact. I don’t need a man to guide me, I’ve found the Gospel of Jesus Christ to be true, and His love for me to be not only sufficient but over-bounding my sense to comprehend what great things the Lord has done for me. Jesus is my High Priest, that Profit. I had never been in a Church in my life (save one funeral at 8 or 9 yrs) when I got saved by the power of Holy God. Most churches are fake and stupid, weak and soft. I’ve been saying for years let’s have this coming Judgement against America and find out who the true Christians really are.

I fully reject the Catholic understanding of these verses below and will explain the truth of what they mean.

    From John 3:
“Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God….Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.”

Born of water is talking about your mother’s birthing of you. Jesus explains to Nicodemus and further iterates this by stating that this first birth is of the flesh, again your human mother. Nicodemus was very religious, a top priest, a devout Jew of the most religious order in the world known to man at that time doing everything he possibly could to work his way into heaven on his own, through his mother church of temple worship. Jesus told him to forsake all reliance on RELIGION and trust Him and only Him to be saved from the wrath to come. You MUST be born again of the Spirit of Holy God or you will not see the Kingdom of God. We who believe already live and move and have our being in the Kingdom of God, them that truly know Him for the Unbeliever whist not which way the Spirit goes. There is no Church, no rite, no ritual, no baptism, no recitation, no being good enough or doing enough good stuff to see the Kingdom of God, for we are made like unto a type of Christ to do His work and His will, and His way, in that YE MUST BE BORN AGAIN by the Spirit of God through belief in the finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross, amen and amen. Amen. (Note: Nothing about these statements above means that we should forsake the assembling together, and forget that iron sharpens iron, dear Christian.)

The Holy Spirit of God indwells me, to guide and comfort, and yet, correct me. Thanks be to God!

There is no work, no Church good enough, you filthy putrefied menstrual rag of a man that can save you from the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone. Amen. You must be born again. That’s as ugly as it gets, and that’s the truth, all right out of my King James Holy Bible.

All works based salvation is Blaspheme against the Lord Jesus Christ, because it denies the purpose for which the Son of God gave Himself. If you could be good enough why did God sacrifice His Son by allowing Him to be tortured to death? It’s blaspheme to claim even indirectly that Christ died for nothing and you can be made whole some day, some how, through your own power. There is no better work than what God Himself did for us on the cross those days. And having been resurrected from dead, overcoming Sin, and Death, and Hell, we too can overcome in Christ Jesus. Not in a mother Church. In Christ! In Christ! In Christ is where salvation lives. Amen.

It’s always import to find the original point of contention. This is my original statements from up top, that got John’s attention, and now I know that they are as right as rain:

“*sigh* American Christians just aren’t serious men.

Dan Cathy should stick to making chicken sammiches.”
