Pistol-Mounted Red Dots Under $300

The only one I’m somewhat familiar with is the Holosun. The Holosun is quickly gaining a very good reputation. But where are the FDE models? They don’t exist.
If you want a FDE model, you have to go with the Trijicon RMR.

I initially poo-pooed having a red dot on a pistol. That changed last month. I bought my first 1911 (Kimber Aegis) with a Vortex Venom 6moa pre-installed. I took it to the range and right out of the box was on target. No adjustments required. I’ll take it over a laser any day. Being nearsighted, my eyes need -1.50 of correction in each eye for 20/20, I was able to get out to about 18 yards with decent accuracy imo. It calls for zeroing at 25 and be good out to 50. I wasn’t willing to mess with what I was already set at to get there. I’d recommend it for those with vision becoming an issue with age. Only downside, personal of course, is the need for a more unique battery CR1632 versus what I think is the typical CR2032. Opticsplanet shows it for $249 and you can get 10% off that. No FDE I could find.
