Horses In Austin
BY Herschel Smith4 years, 3 months ago
I love horses. Big, strong, powerful, and with volition. I know how to handle them. I once trained them. You make a deal with horses that they won’t kill you because you have their best interest in mind. And your side of the bargain is that you will take care of them.
Handling horses is a patient, thinking man’s game. Not an idiot’s game.
The horses will obey their masters, not the rioters. I wish one of those horses would stomp one of the idiot rioters hurling vulgarities at people. That would make my day – I would drink a glass of wine and celebrate.
Then again, I believe in Posses and hangings. That which is tried and true is usually the best.

Ya know, some lariats would go nicely with those horses. Rope the bastards, and drag them out. Maybe brand Antifa on their narrow little foreheads.

I look at all of the fools in the street and all I can think is that this is what happens when one raises up a couple of generations that have been sheltered from the reality that there are consequences for their decisions.

It is a shame what Austin has become. I moved there when I escaped the Depression in Odessa in the early 80’s. It was a fun town to live in during that decade. The people were friendly. The economy was thriving. The hill country was wonderful. The lakes and creeks were wonderful. The nightlife was wonderful. The women were wonderful. etc… It was the perfect place for a young man to spend a few years.
Too bad.

How long will it be until pensions become the stick to compel the police to stand down on protestors or go after folks on our side of the conflict?

They’re already trimming/renegotiating the pensions for new hires across the country. The problem is all these pensions promised won’t take effect for years to come, and most LEO’s are being convinced there will be something still there 5,10,20 years from now.

“Posses and hangings”
I’ll add Bible Law Judges.

Same thing. Capital punishment is certainly Biblical, and LEOs are not. Deut 21:19.

Here’s one from July 1st – protester tries to spook horse, gets kicked in head. https://twitter.com/DarrickWilkins/status/1278643638554288130?s=20

Ok, but what I meant was structural. Bible-Law Judges, with duly representative sheriffs who can form a posse, and convene public hangings as the Judges conclude based upon credible 2 or 3 witnesses. You know that I know this.

@Fred,
I see that you said “I’ll add.” My bad.
Yes. 2 or 3 witnesses.
