That tis a nice/basic intro.I would say you practice reloads go outside,do a couple of quick sprints/go back and reload now with your heart racing a bit ect.I feel you need to reload in a battle you are going to have a lot mental/physical pressures on you, thus run your self tired a bit and practice and might give you a better idea of reloading under pressure though of course will not duplicate the pressures of a actual gun battle.Obviously with snap caps ect. also practice reloads in the dark/dim light conditions ect.

I don’t know the background of the writer but for the most part I agree with the advice in James comment.
I’m ‘old school’ enough that my first duty sidearm was a Colt Border Patrol (the only gun I regret selling ;-( – and speed strips were still on the horizon, much less them fancy speed loaders……………
One thing I didn’t catch in the article was that there are different brands and they work a bit differently so the end user must get familiar with them. FWIW my main EDC is a revolver – that No One Makes speed loaders but I do have speed strips.
Main takeaway is practice, practice, practice. And that applies whether the pistol goes round and round or back and forth.

I see that Sagebrush Longshots posted a long range revolver shooting video today. Don’t underestimate a revolver. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3ybCL2XZySY

For revolvers and shotguns, a box of inert cartridges is invaluable. Practice, practice, and practice some more.
