I knew it would be a great series. I wasn’t mistaken. He uses the Henry X-Model for all tests.

Best of both worlds = 41 Remington Magnum

I concur with 41mag.
Perhaps Ruger will catalog a .41 Mag in their new version of the reintroduced Ruger/Marlin 1894 Cowboy Custom Unlimited. If they don’t, they oughta.

Great info. I’ve been eyeing a Rossi 92 in .357. Based on the video would you use the Barnes bullet in bear country based on penetration?

No experience with Barnes.
I’ve stayed with Buffalo Bore hard cast.
If you reload and are lucky to have primers (can’t find ANY) look up some hard cast boolits.

Good presentation.
I see the pistol caliber carbine as a companion to the sidearm. As such, each should be of the came caliber. The carbine will approximately double the effective range of the handgun.
Paul Harrell has a similar comparison video:

Both videos highlight the importance of ammo selection

Good info. I have 3 lever guns. 357 Rossi, 45 long colt Henry and a Marlin 30/30.
I would prefer to use the 30/30 but I think I will use the 45 LC for deer this year.

Always good to have a rifle chambered in your pistol calibers, especially when you’re out and about.
