This is already messed up and there are probably parts of ATF that wish both sides of Congress would just shut the heck up. Those with braces and those following the AR pistol issue certainly have personal copies of previous letters issued by ATF from 2012, 2014 and 2017 approving the brace as a brace, rescinding a previous lackey’s letter with the lackey’s boss explaining that the act of shouldering does NOT make an NFA device (“we eval device not intent”) and a specific one to the Greenwood, CO police department letting them know the same thing.
They’re going to be embarassed if this is the campfire they want to build, from wet conifers yielding lots of obnoxious smoke. Just my prediction but there’s no over/under in Vegas for it, so YMMV.

If you're interested in what else the The Captain's Journal has to say, you might try thumbing through the archives and visiting the main index, or; perhaps you would like to learn more about TCJ.
