Jason Vanderbrink Installment #2 On Ammunition
BY Herschel Smith3 years, 10 months ago
So let me get this straight. You want to produce ammunition because hunting is a sport in which social distancing is practiced and social distancing is a good thing.
Meh.
Who sent you out to say that – your PR team? I don’t think you understand your clientele. Fire your PR team, now.
People will keep buying good ammunition at the best price they can get, but not because you see hunting as a social distancing sport.
And now that we’re being honest with each other, I don’t really appreciate the insulting tone of your first video.

Huh, hunting license sales numbers back that claim of huge surge in hunters?
More likely is millions of hunters who buy a box or two of “hunting ammunition” every year saw what was happening and bought 20 or 30 boxes.
I find it hard to believe that people often asked “what are you doing to protect your employees health?” You would have to have just awoken from a year long coma not to know what companies are having to do to safeguard employees from the coronavirus.
And sir, if American manufacturing is so important how about Federal/CCI/Speer cease all sales to FedGov until they quit selling out American
manufacturing?

@June J, the worker safety question is a woke youtube question, but, there are still conservatives where I’m at that have total “pandemic” brain damage. I count them a loss and move to ones I can save.
As to hunting ammo, I would simply say; “hunting.” At least that’s what is happening around here, Fudds rapidly becoming unfudded. I welcome them. You shoot large things at long ranges, I’m your friend. Let’s have a little talk about what you think is happening to America, I’ll buy you lunch.

Sometimes it is just better to say nothing… Or, keep it simple. “Look, we are running 3 shifts trying to catch up with demand we have not seen since WW2. Please be patient. (Cut to B-roll of equipment running and ammo coming off the line).
But this “More hunters than ever” crap? Don’t piss down my back and tell me it’s raining.

I use about 6 rounds annual hunting, and 3 of those are verifying my Leupold is precisely where it should be.

“More and more hunters!”
is really just them saying:
“If we just pretend we’re not on the verge of a hot civil war it won’t happen.”
Head firmly up ass.

And yes, all the virtue signaling posturing about protecting workers and customers from the China Flu was gay and stupid from the beginning. Now? It means you’re a total sell out to Globo Homo.

Let’s talk about powder and primers being unavailable for a long time. Brass and bullets also.
Increased demand, supply being throttled and choked, or preferance given to ammo manufacturers?

In America today we have this strange phenomenon where big business hates it’s customers.
On January 23, 2021 at 12:01 pm, Fred said:
To my mind it’s not strange. Government is their master. You are a unit of production and consumption in the global labor and use market from which wealth must be extracted for the support and continuance of empire. This is a sort, although with variations, of communism and classic fascism. What’s a strange phenomenon is that Americans are well read and studied in this and still can’t see it. Everything will not be alright when the government, the religion, and the trade system combine. In fact this is a grave evil to the harm of the good, a type of which is depicted in Revelation 18. The end of the West is very likely nigh.

I received a message from Midway that Remington primers are “discontinued”.
Makes sense. Greatest primer shortage in history with concurrent highest prices in history so, let’s stop making them. No wonder Remington went tits up.

Use some common sense. This guy isn’t stupid, he knows the real market. The video reeked of an attempt to delay or counter gun banners arguement. No doubt many of the comments he received were not from 2A people but lefties. He doesn’t have to worry about 2A people, he has to worry about the lefty loudmouths and the socialist govt. The video is aimed at that crowd , not gun owners.

More hunters than ever eh? So it’s the Fudds buying all that ammo…

What Wilson said is correct. He is trying to keep the gun control crowd from painting a target on him (and us) by saying anything about personal defense. I live in Arkansas. There was a hysterical article in the Arkansas Democrat Gazette today from the AP talking about how Republicans across the country in state legislatures are trying to pass “constitutional carry” and they immediately go to Shannon Watts for a long winded sermon on why this is a horrible ides. Typical and what he is trying to avoid. The Remington plant in Lonoke was puttering along until his company bought it. Told by friends who live in Lonoke that the plant there is hiring and has geared up production to meet demand. People are doing for ammo what they did with toilet paper back last April.

Who wants to take bets in his next video he starts talking about their Diversity & Inclusion efforts on the factory floor….

Federal, CCI, Speer and Remington Brands.
Isn’t that about 90% of the cartridge and component market?
I would think that they bear significant blame for the shortage.
