Tell WiscoDave he needs to get control of his pets. That raccoon could get hurt.

Trio of spotted owls passing through locally by a large swift moving creek.
Relaxing in the woods one day and heard what sounded like laughter, it was a beautiful spotted owl up in a tree about ten feet away!
The raccoons are cantankerous with one getting on the balcony and growling after I didn’t put out any food, bwahaha!
One day they bumrushed the porch and dive bombed the domesticated animals water bowl and I had to clean it out and refill.
A little opossum comes out at night but it is very shy and slow moving.

Not that I would expect anyone to believe this, but I once petted a Great Horned Owl. He was standing next to the fog line on a state highway and after I almost hit him (on an inside turn of a mountain road) I went back to see if he was okay. After five minutes or so of petting him while he swiveled his head and closed his eyes (I think he was digging the attention) he figured it was time to go and took off, almost knocking me over with his prop wash. The dude was big!
It was a great experience.
