How did she not know that this would instantly become a meme?  How could she have been so stupid?

    He may be right, he and his R fellows have squandered every opportunity presented by majority status and now are on the cusp of irrelevance. Or this pompous pipsqueak may simply be refusing to push this priority bill for personal reasons.

    Fakes, phonies, frauds…every damn one.

    If Patrick succeeds in killing this Texas will never see anything near Constitutional carry and will rapidly devolve in the opposite direction beginning with next session in ’23.

    My days are counted and I’m running out of places to hang my hat.

    EXACT similar situation in 1994, under Christine Todd Whitman (r) in NJ: when the AWB complete repeal came up for a vote. Support fell away, and it withered and died a miserable death on the State House floor. We still don’t know whose arms she twisted (or bribed, or threatened), or why. Oh, yea …
