This is what wicked arrogance looks like. You try to subvert the covenant to which you swore an oath, and then you’re so proud of it you admit it out loud and tell people what you did.

Nope. See “United States v. Xavier Alvarez” (Stolen Valor Act of 2005 case), et. al. SCOTUS has ruled plenty of times the First Amendment protects lying. This protection is extended to EVERYONE – politicians, unelected bureaucrats, attorneys, the media, etc – by virtue of 1A.
In one case, writing for the majority, Chief Justice John Roberts said, “For politicians, lying is a religious observance, akin to attending a church or a synagogue, except that they do it seven days a week”.
And, gov’t and media wonders why we don’t trust anything they say about Covid.
BTW, you and me, while being questioned by LE? No such 1A protection.

No offense, but since these guys are *never* held accountable by anyone, why wouldn’t they be arrogant? Why not try to get away with more and more and more? Yeah, the peasants might grumble, but that’s about all they ever do.
