410 pellets. Shoot, shovel, and shut up.
And yes, serpents abound anywhere somebody else’s money is, especially gubmint.
The procedure to rid any area of either is basically the same. Tools and equipment may vary.
God has his own procedure: Revelation 20: and starting around verse 10 or so. So you see, ridding any domain of serpents is a good work (Sarc??? Or is it?).

Snakes? The imperial DC swamp has you outnumbered.
What if they really are reptilian! The truth is out there.
We have copperheads here and saw a real beauty back in the spring with amazing “undercarriage” colors.
Backed off the trail slowly and luckily it was digesting.
A HS bud had a herpetological society before Red State cracked down and there was an amazing albino cobra specimen with red eyes, feeding it baby mice was quite interesting and one hoped that it never escaped.
The sea snake is one of the most poisonous and once saw a gigantor during a visit to Florida that came out of the brush and darted for the water about twenty feet to the right.

I remember pulling some 60 bull snakes out of a well at my Grand ma’s. She hated snakes with a passion so we whacked all of them.
They had become a nuisance so it was needed.

I had frequent encounters with snakes when we lived in suburban North Raleigh. Most were harmless, but we had an ongoing Copperhead problem, especially when it was a Cicada year, (because they are a primary food source) Our property was on a wooded lot which meant lots of leaves on he ground year round, and damn, those Copperheads are hard to spot.
Our Springer Spaniel was almost bitten by a 2-3ft Copperhead who was on the mat outside our door. That bite would likely have killed her. I have also killed several young Copperheads – which are more dangerous because they don’t regulate the amount of venom injected – and my wife came way too close to getting bitten by one in our garage.
She was sweeping out a bunch of leaves that had blown in and there was one really hard to see in a small pile of leaves in a corner. She was wearing sandals, and just saw it move before she stepped within striking range.
They say Copperheads are not aggressive but this one was angry and moved towards her as she quickly stepped back away towards the house. Her shriek got my attention (and probably that of several neighbors!) and I grabbed the closest thing I could find- an old hockey stick – and managed to kill the 2-footer after several whacks.
