Before screening the video, I vote YES; it is better to shoot handguns with both eyes open.
As a survivor of an armed home invasion in the middle of the night, I found keeping both eyes open while aiming/shooting helps a defender perform two essential tasks:
– identify attackers in low-light level conditions
– prevent ‘tunnel-vision’, allowing location of, and preventing fire upon, friendlies
