The Oklahoma National Guard Is Now A Militia

Or at least they soon could be.
BREAKING: Defense official reportedly says, if the Oklahoma National Guard doesn't comply with COVID vaccine requirements, they will no longer be "maintaining national recognition," thus, state will no longer have a Nat Guard, but rather a militia – VOA's Pentagon correspondent

Hey, this is a great idea, just like the founders intended it to be, back where we started.
And when the FedGov comes and demands possession of your cannon and class 3 weapons, armored vehicles, grenades, and so forth, you can explain to them that, you know … you have cannon and class 3 weapons, and they can’t have them.
How much gall do the Oklahomans have? Man would I love to be a fly on the wall during that conversation.

A militia with jets! The 138th FW at Tulsa is an Air National Guard Base, flying F-16s….while the founders had no idea there would ever be an Air National Guard, I wager they would think the ANG would fit right in to their original vision….
Would love to see another 2 dozen + states do this; there’s a lot capability in the Guard (AF or Army) that doesn’t exist anywhere else. I’m retired USAF, not a pilot, but recall reading accounts of ANG units cleaning up during exercises like Red Flag; they’re generally more experienced, have more flying hours, and more unit cohesion than active duty units who have all the usual PCS churn. I’ve been out seven years now, no idea if this is still true, but there is serious talent in the ANG….forcing them (and anyone, military or not) to take a sketchy vax for a flu variant with a 99+% survivability rate (and these folks are undoubtedly healthier than the general population) is evil….there is ZERO rationalization for this crap on “health” reasons

If Oklahoma stands firm and fed.crime.gov follows through on its threat, would love to see Texas follow suit, merging the Texas National Guard into the Texas State Guard.

I honestly thought the junta would Nationalize the National Guard so they had control of it, as a first step toward trying to overtly deploy the National Guard against American citizens.
This is a great and unexpected outcome.

@ Blake, I think they do think they have nationalized the Guard and I also think that they have. Your use of the word outcome is miles to early.

Oklahoma and it’s present administration have more on the ball than all of Washington, DC. I am confident they know EXACTLY what they are doing and the Veterans in Oklahoma as well as around the country will easily back-up, support and defend the OKNG whenever asked to do so.

If they become the State Militia, then they no longer have to obey the orders of the President, only the Governor.
Any bets the Feds would want their weapons and armaments returned?
Or will it be a “Come And Take It” thing?

@Fred, I fear you may be correct.
