Freedom Convoy DC trucker reveals plans to clog capital’s vital Beltway interstate and likens impending protest to ‘a giant boa constrictor that squeezes, chokes and swallows’
BY Herschel Smith2 years, 8 months ago
Bob Bolus, who’s leading a fleet of transports from Pennsylvania to Washington on Wednesday, plans to help shut down the Capital Beltway on Friday in protest of vaccine mandates, pandemic-related restrictions, and more.
The 64 mile road – whose formal name is the I-495 – encircles the capital, and is its most vital ground transportation link. One lane will be left open for emergency vehicles, but Bolus has said ‘tough luck’ to commuters.
‘The Beltway will be shutdown,’ Bolus told Fox News. ‘I’ll give you an analogy of that of a giant boa constrictor that basically squeezes you, chokes you, and then swallows you. And that’s what we’re going to do to DC.’
‘We will not compromise anybody’s safety or health. As far as if they [people] can’t get to work, geez, that’s too bad.’
I’m left wondering about the wisdom in telegraphing your plans to your opponent. Larry Bird used to tell his opponents exactly what he was going to do, and then he would do it.
This isn’t the same thing. As for those folks who are going a different route, I’m also wondering if this isn’t perhaps a plan to hamper those efforts?

Federal mandates are routinely shot down in court, there’s no need to blockade DC, it’s just pointless, and since this piece of what appears to be a replay of January 6 is set to coincide with the State of the Union address, it has the look and feel of a Democratic Party dirty trick – it’s a set piece for the Biden Administration to win big in the fall. The place for protests against tyranny is in the states which are enforcing the tyranny – and the best means might well be for trucks to either not go to those states, or for truckers inside of those states, to stay home. Not providing those states with transport services is just a business decision, and so it would be for those truckers in those states who decide to take a couple of weeks off to do something else.

A drive to DC is pointless and provides the Feds with many opportunities for federal Stasi mischief since entrapment and process violations is the primary game. Of course, the real power is starving the Feds of tax lucre by governors putting all Federal tax receipts in state escrow cages until the Feds relent.
Stop delivering to and in blue cities. Make them shipment no-go zones.
Part of what makes the communists so effective in what they do [besides the long game and absolute domination of intellectual transmission modalities like education and media] is that they actually provide a well-funded legal and subsidy infrastructure for their players. Since the communists own the state, they can use everyone’s money to do it.
Imagine a sophisticated shadow government anti-communist system that protects the saboteurs and their families: provides legal help, subsidy for unemployment and sustenance for families, alternate banking system, secure communications and raft of other services to make mass non-compliance workable.

I continue to have my doubts as to the organic nature of the dc protests.

I suspect you folks are spot on. This “convoy” looks like a disaster looking for a place to happen.

A national general strike would be much more effective.
This could be easily announced and planned without worrying about fed involvement and incursion.
We could also just stop deliveries to places like NYC.

Once again they’re going about it wrong. The Canucks did it to some degree, and look what happened to them!
If you want to hurt them, shut em down. Trucks don’t roll, the country stops!
Want to make a statement? Refuse to transport to DC, and anywhere the state government is.
25 yrs behind the wheel of big rigs til it destroyed my back.
Think about what the teamsters did.

The telegraphing is not needed.
Just do what your going to do.

Hey fellow truckers, it didn’t work out so well in Canada, let’s do the exact same thing here! I’m First! No me!
@Fred, spot on.
