Shooting Clays with Unconventional Shotguns
BY Herschel Smith2 years, 7 months ago
I did this on Saturday. I shot at clays with a Beretta 1301, Langdon Tactical. And yes, I was able to connect, but it’s more challenging with a 18.5″ barrel.
Did you make it to the range over the weekend, and what did you shoot?

back in the 1990’s did a bit of skeet shooting with a spas 12 just for the hell of it.
didn’t do too bad either, like 18 or so out of 25. it was getting a bit tiring there at the end.
my kid gun, he sold it when it started having safety issues.

Try that with a Taurus Judge & .410 shells. It’ll make you crazy.

Just saw that 1301 in FDE at my local gun store. What a beautiful piece of equipment. Pricey as Benellis usually are. I’m sure it shot as beautiful as it looked and felt.

I’ve shot clays with the 1301 Comp. It came with 3 chokes so I use the improved modified unless I’m using steel shot.

I haven’t made it to the clays range yet this year, but it sure is an excellent way to tune up. Shooting 25’s with a Remington 1100 IS a joyous event.
