“I’m Diabetic, Please Help Me,” Cops: “No You’re Not, You’re Drunk”
BY Herschel Smith2 years, 7 months ago
Absolutely absurd. And listen carefully to the cop’s testimony.
What is it? Does the haircut make them stupid? Do they hire the dumbest guys around for the job? Does it have to do with being beaten up on the schoolyard playground? Is it just a “controller” complex at work?
Don’t answer. I think I know the answers.

Oh boy, this brings back some unpleasant memories from a few years ago. I was getting my blood sugar under control with the help of my then doctor. One night, i went into low sugar status, hypoglycemia, and didn’t have any sweets around the house, so I went to Wally World and bought a few candy bars. I was shaking and trembling as I left, and came to a stop light. With no traffic apparent nearby, and the tremors getting worse, after waiting for few minutes for the light to change, I went thru the red light, and promptly got caught by a local cop. He was convinced that I was on heroin, despite the note from my doctor’s office saying that my meds were going to be changed in the morning. The cop told me that he didn’t believe that I was in hypoglycemic shock, and asked if he could search my car. Not without a warrant, so he gave me a ticket, and confiscated the candy bars. He wanted to have them tested for heroin. Sure…
I went to a gas station and bought another one, ate it there, and went home. The next day my meds were changed, and the DR told me that these cops were dumber than rocks. They confirmed that the candy bars were not laced with heroin.
Yeah, I support defunding the cops. Too many idiots with control freak tendencies.

“Tragic mistake.” What a load. More like “You will comply or else. We will beat the shit outta you if we feel you are disrepecting us.”

This type of action by the gang in blue is rampant, epidemic. If there were actual consequences for bad blue boy behavior it would slow down dramatically.
Qualified immunity = free pass to terrorize. Also never forget that judges are just lawyers. How do we know when a lawyer is lying? His lips are moving.

I was once told they want applicants to test at 100+- 5 points for cops. They do not want anyone too smart as they feel those individuals would get bored and move on.

The man wasn’t killed and he didn’t have his dog with him so they had no chance to kill the dog. I guess that is better than average for the circumstances.

Unacceptable. Can only speak for the jurisdiction where I was volunteer Fire/EMS for 20 years. Standard screening question from local cops “are you on any medications…”. Ditto for our EMTs (obviously). And our PD kicked a lot of non-vehicular hypoglycemic emergencies over to us, so they could recognize. I think this is more about making DUI numbers and associated grant $. Like the pilot who blew 0.000 twice (two different machines)on a breathalyzer but cops insisted on arresting and trying to force a blood test.

This illustrates a perfect opportunity for all those “Super duper good guys” who are the “vast majority”, to show themselves. Why have the “vast majority” not given this “one bad apple” some wall to wall counseling and vigorously encouraged him to find other emloyment? Hmmm?
