Traveling This Summer?
BY PGF2 years, 7 months ago
This page is yeoman’s work.
Unfortunately, we recognize there are so many variances in our state to state laws, the average individual may have difficulty keeping up with those laws well enough to prevent them from breaking the law, especially as they travel. Since we have the ability to research those laws and create an informative Concealed Carry specific site, we have done so.
Each State is hotlinked to an excellent and user-friendly outline of that State’s gun laws.

Dave Workman (gun activist / writer) has an app called CCW.
costs $0.99 one time
it updates regularly, links to the GPS function to display the laws of the state you are currently in
covers some topics others don’t:
required to notify LEO if approached
carry in rest areas
carry in restaurants that serve alcohol
and best
it provides links to the actual laws.
not somebody’s “opinion” of what the law says
I find myself using it several times a week

That’s why I posted a link to this site, it too provides those things and carry in state parks, the statutes on justifiable use of force, reciprocity, etc. Sounds like the app is similar.

You can never have enough info. I have have found handgunlaw.us to be the best of the online resources, but even after reading it thoroughly, reading the statutes directly for each state I planned to transit, and cross-checking in two current, published books, nothing alerted me to tribal law issues on the reservation I had to cross. Never trust any source completely.

All 50 states recognize the 2nd Amendment for Americans.
Concealed or open carry.
Could not be otherwise, since it is a very serious crime to violate any of the 13 original amendments.
The trouble is, there are 50 for-profit “states of State” coporations and four “Commonwealths of States” (and a “Commonwealth” is not a “State” in the same way that a “District” is not a “State”) that use “Code enforcement” scams to coerce Americans (whom have been tricked into identifying as “Governmental Units/Employees”) to “voluntarily comply” with private employee codes/regulations.
If you are an American (defined as someone born upon one of the 50 states, or an immigrant who spent 7 years as a “U.S. Citizen” and then adopted a state as their permanent home) the 11th Amendment stipulates that you need neither know nor follow foreign laws or codes. And the Supremacy Clause in all three Constitutions stipulates that subordinate/internal “regulations/codes/statutes” that are intended to apply to our hired help cannot overstand our guarantees as the Principals to the contracts (“States of States” are not States, they are Federal Franchise operations, no different than Burger King or Wal-Mart).
Finally, returning to the Bills of Rights (all three of them), actual State governments (Assemblies, not “Legislatures”) may make laws -more- restrictive to our employees (since all three BoR are “negative law”), but may never undermine the prohibitions on our hired help. “Shall not” has the same character of the “Ten Commandments:” to the hired help “Thou shalt not” (under any circumstances, ever).
So, while I feel badly for those that must abide by the rules of the Trailboss, if you choose to ride for the brand, the Trailboss is thy god until the end of the roundup. Same for those volunteering to be government employees or dependents. Divest yourself or your foreign allegiances/loyalties and come home, or grit your teeth and deal with it.

@Furminator, yeah, tribal law is realistically unknowable for an average person. I imagine it to be an entirely separate field of US law? Funny to think back on now, I’ve literally been kicked off the reservation. I get it ;-)

“Tribes” are simply separate “Nations.” They are “Tributaries” of Rome.
There are roughly 200 or so “Nations” that share the landmass known as “The United States.” Tribes are not sovereign, since they are “dependents” of Rome.
For instance, “The District of Columbia” is technically a “Nation.” The Capitol of “United States” (which is the statutory term for “The District of Columbia”) is…itself. Just like the Capitol of Vatican City is itself. Or the Capitol of the Nation known as “The City of London” is itself.
A -Country- is different from a Nation. The -Country- known as “The United States of America” is made up of 50 separate Nations, known as “states” (from the original “estates” or “colonies” that decided to form a separate polity in 1776). Every “Nation” that is allowed to exist within our Country is subordinate to the American People, and exists only by permission (treaty).
Unfortunately, most of the “Tribal Treaties” were finalized after 1861, aka when the British Crown managed to do by fraud what they could not do by force of arms.
The Native Nations are slowly waking up to the fact that they should repudiate the notion that they must pay “Tribute” to Rome, and instead discuss renegotiation of their treaties with the actual Principals (Americans). After all, if we can delegate someone else to mow our lawn (the Contract Government(s), those delegated authorities may be exercised directly in case those Contractors go down (either due to bankruptcy, which has occurred, or breach of contract, which has occurred).

The Firearms Owners Protection Act of 1986 aka the “peaceable journey law” is intended to protect you when traveling with firearms. Problem is many LEO and a LOT of prosecutors simply IGNORE that law if you are caught in their jurisdiction. The law will ONLY protect you if you have the financial resources to use it in court against them. Remember….in America you ONLY HAVE the justice you can AFFORD.

Was in commie territory in CA this weekend for two days.
Feels totally foreign to not CCW, because I fear police more than any other gang.
