Make mine Birchwood-Casey Tru-Oil. You put it on with your fingertip and lots of wet sanding and fine steel wool, followed up with automotive rubbing compound and carnuba wax. Takes a long time, but it’s worth it. Great winter project when there’s nothing else to do.
I’ve done two high end shotgun stocks with this stuff, and they both attract a lot of comments when I shoot. Best part is you can reapply it easily when you get rack-f*cked at the range.
