I’ve seen a lot on the 6mm ARC lately, all of it good.

Built one about the beginning of this year. 18” Barrel, primarily for deer hunting. Worked up my hunting load this week with a 100 gr. Sierra Game King. 5 Shots into .367” at 100 yards. Had the gun at the range and made plenty of 600 yard hits with factory 108 ELD-M (which is about 1.25-1.5 MOA in my gun) and hit the 1,000 plate a few times. With the can on, it’s a pussycat to shoot. Pretty happy thus far.

For a fraction of the money the Army is planning to spend on their new rifle and crazy new ammo – they could equip every soldier in the infantry with really accurate 6mm ARC rifles. Probably still save money while upgrading them all to MK12s or the latest thing Sig designed.
The only problem is they probably need 18″ to 20″ barrels to really get the benefit of the round and the Army hates longer barrels (and bullpups). I never felt like my M16A2 was awkwardly long so I don’t get it.
