Trudeau Announces New Gun Control For Canada
BY Herschel Smith2 years, 6 months ago
A collectivist is never happy with the status quo.
Trudeau introduced Bill C-21, which the prime minister’s office said “puts forward some of the strongest gun control measures in over 40 years,” noting a rise in gun violence.
[ … ]
If passed, the legislation would make it no longer possible to buy, sell, transfer or import handguns anywhere in Canada.
“In other words, we’re capping the market,” Trudeau said at a press conference.
Trudeau added that the Canadian government will require long-gun magazines to be permanently altered so they can not hold more than five rounds and ban the sale and transfer of large capacity magazines.
In May 2020, Trudeau ordered a ban on 1,500 assault-style weapons, including M4, AR-10 and AR-15 rifles …
For our friends to the North, you’ve got a fight on your hands, but you knew that anyway after the trucker revolt. Trudeau is no doubt feeling his oats after he got the government to do his bidding on financial pressure against truckers and their supporters.
The “conservatives” are probably too outnumbered to stop this.

Interesting timing. Lots of press about a ‘school shooting’ in Texas, and Castro’s boy calling for this drastic gun control. Timing. Wait, Castro’s boy, wadn’t Castro a commie? HMMM Says I.

Trudeau is following orders as a point man of the WEF.
Just like the Canadian Truckers revolt and our US Politicians were watching how that played out so they can do a better job here in America.
His Truckers revolt required that Trudeau essentially stand down due to Media coverage.
Our American Truckers revolt was denied any sort of Media coverage and was smothered like with a pillow of indifference.
I expect that the heroic door to door resistance scenario will not play out as they will use more economic ways to force compliance. Again, with the smothering pillow of No Media coverage to prevent public outrage and reversal.
Got plenty of stored food, safe water, trusted friends?

Be assured that many Canadians are as disgusted as you are with the behaviour of our beloved leader.
We are watching as the various measures are assembled, on both sides of the 49th, and we know where they lead.
The fight, when it comes, will not be isolated. As far as C21 goes, there will be about as much compliance with it as there was with C68, lo these twenty years ago now.
Patton said that when you get into a hole, the first thing to do is to stop digging. This is a bit of wisdom lost on all these smart people who aren’t ignorant, but who know so much that isn’t so.
God Bless America.

People in the U.S. need to pay attention to what is happening in Canada, because the same thing is going to happen here (in some states, it already has).
The first thing Americans need to understand is that the people being targeted here are already the most scrupulously law-abiding Fudds you can imagine. In Canada, ALL “legal” handguns are registered with the provincial police and the RCMP. You cannot buy one without a government permit that is 100% discretionary. You cannot buy one with a barrel less than 4.25″ and all magazines have a 10-round limit. There are no private transfers. There is NO concealed carry or even home defense with a handgun. Even cops cannot CCW off duty.
Handguns are range toys only, and they cannot be transported to and from the range unless they are disassembled, locked, and the ammo locked in a separate case. In the home, the handgun must be disassembled and locked in a safe. If someone breaks into your home and you shoot him with a handgun you will be charged for violating the storage law. If you are in the Yukon wilderness and you need protection against bears, you can only use bear spray and if that doesn’t work, tough shit pal, you get eaten.
It is impossible to do a straw purchase and give a handgun to a criminal like in the U.S. Crime committed by legal handgun owners is literally nonexistent. Insofar as crime with handguns does exist, it is nearly all by urban nonwhite immigrants using stolen guns, smuggled guns, and guns built from parts kits. The Nova Scotia shooter was a white guy and not an immigrant, but his firearms license had been revoked so he used a smuggled rifle to shoot a girlcop and then took her issue pistol.
The ban on all future sales of handguns is a long-term total confiscation scheme. They are not going to confiscate handguns from submissive range Fudds (unless they get red-flagged by an ex-wife or neighbor) because the door-kickers in the RCMP do not want to get shot, but when Fudds with registered guns die off their registered handguns will be destroyed by the government. New York did the same thing with the SAFE Act and semi-auto rifles.
That’s the way they plan to do it here, they are going to “allow” you to keep your stuff if it is registered, but when you die they take it and going forward no future generation can ever own it.
Beyond that, Canada is going to mandate that all long guns have a 5-round maximum capacity. They did this with semi-autos quite a while ago, now they are going to apply it to bolt actions and lever guns and pump guns too. If you have a 100+ year old SMLE in .303, and there are tons of them in Canada, you are going to have to get all your ten round mags permanently blocked.
Again, they got this idea from New York City, which has mandatory long gun registration and a maximum capacity of 5 rounds, so be advised that the global communist gun grabbers don’t give a flying f__k about the Second Amendment and frankly NYC demonstrates that it is no impediment whatsoever to their plans.

Great move Justin -these new measures will certainly keep guns out of the hands of thugs and the criminally insane…assclown.
I believe the language of the 2nd Amendment actually does not grant citizens the right to own firearms. That is covered under our inalienable rights granted by God- the right to “life, and liberty;’’ the last part of that phrase (the “pursuit of happiness”) is better understood today as the right to be left the hell alone. What the 2nd Amendment does is to guarantee all citizens the right to own guns… in order to protect themselves – primarily from oppressive governments- but also to protect home and hearth. And ownership of firearms is not contingent upon being part of a militia. They are two related but separate thoughts.
Also, the myth of a “gun show loophole” has been debunked. Any federally licensed firearms dealer at gun show is required to follow the same procedures (Form 4473, querying the NICS database, etc.) that they would at their business location. Moreover, any sponsor of a gun show would be held liable if a dealer fails to do so, and the dealer would lose his/her federal firearms license as well as face prosecution. So, it’s not worth the risk to any responsible business owner.
In fact, the only sales of firearms that do not require any background checks are private sales between individuals. As a responsible, law-abiding gun owner I would be willing to support a requirement that all private sales be transacted through FFL dealers on both ends, with responsibility for the transaction fees (the dealer’s time and costs) shared by the seller on one end and the buyer on the other. I have done this- once with my brother, who is a retired Marine living out of state, because in the unlikely event that the hand gun was stolen from his home and used in a crime, I would have proof that I did my due diligence. It was only a minor inconvenience/cost.
However, the strident, one note “ban all guns!” voices would have to admit that such a requirement would do NOTHING to stop shooters who are mentally unstable enough to murder innocents… which of course they won’t do because it requires critical thinking, not emotional finger pointing.
When I ask anti-gun people, “Ok you say we need new laws; what new law can you suggest that would have prevented the Uvalde murders?” (Or, any of the previous tragedies, for that matter) they are – naturally -unable to suggest anything new- short of bans on all gun sales and/or gun confiscation, which they foolishly believe will stop the killing.
I gave up writing to Congress long ago; they are nothing more than politicians who callously co-opt every such tragedy. Anyone who is soulless enough to exploit families’ devastating grief to ape their agenda in front of the media cannot be reasoned with.
So, where the debate typically ends is when I try to explain to them why tampering with the 2nd Amendment would be utter foolishness for at least 2 major reasons:
1. Criminals and the mentally ill who have murder in their hearts do not obey laws. Americans have owned firearms for more than 200 years, but mass shootings are a relatively recent thing. It’s not the guns- the root cause of the problem is mental illness. The state of mental healthcare in America is worse than terrible, and we ignore the reality that the sociopathic illnesses of many of these mass murderers are often undiagnosed until the killings occur.
When you combine this with the destruction of family, and the general degradation of morality and personal responsibility that we have allowed to in our society, it produces madmen like Salvador Ramos.
We live in a deeply broken world, and Scripture is clear that it’s not only going to continue, but get much worse before everything ends. There will always be violence…whether gun related or not… in a Godless society like ours.
2. The fact that there are so many law-abiding American gun owners is likely the only thing that prevents our gov’t (Democrat or GOP, makes no difference) from the kind of complete tyrannical overreach of power that you see in North Korea and other repressive socialist/communist countries. We are getting close to that but are not quite there yet.
The writers of the Constitution were acutely aware of the dangers of an oppressive government- they knew what they were doing when they wrote the 2nd Amendment.

My favorite target is always a six inch diameter. About the size of an electric meter. One should be able to shoot and hit this size target at whatever distance you chose to practice at.
If you can shoot that good. Their plans fail miserably.
