Uvalde and The Police “Duty to Protect”

I think he does a very good job of saying the very things I’ve been saying over these pages. He does a good job with two of the precedents. He leaves out a third. I’ve always linked three important ones.
But people still believe the reelection sloganeering of “To Protect and Serve” for some irrational reason I cannot explain.
You are your own first responder. No court is ever going to say otherwise. Arm yourselves for your defense and that of your family.

They go out of their way to let We The People know that they believe they are better than us. I have personally witnessed an event when a thug deputy went into an unhinged rant about his “right to go home safe at the end of the day” and followed that by threatening to beat up a defenseless 57 year old woman who was not half his size. The words that lifelong civilian punk used to my neighbor, friend and SISTER VETERAN were “I’ll come back and turn into the Hulk on you. You don’t want to see how mean I can get.” Not just once but over and over. He used the words “turn into the Hulk” so many times I finally asked him if he turned green. That’s when he looked at me with an expression of out of control rage and said “No it’s more RED.”
Of course, our Sheriff refused to issue body cams or even dash cams so when I turned in a formal complaint, nothing at all happened.

Now is the time to start promoting and campaigning for new sheriffs, mayors who appoint police chiefs, and so forth. Fire the bad apples and do NOT give them faux positive recommendations when they look for new jobs.
