   Trudeau is a hardcore communist, just as Joe Biden is. And whenever and wherever the communists seize control, they move swiftly to enact gun control. It is the position of the party and the state that only they must possess firearms, and never the people they rule.

   Josef Stalin (1878-1953) once said, “Ideas are more powerful than guns. We would not let our enemies have guns, why should we let them have ideas.”

   And in Red China, Mao Zedong (1893-1976) said, “All political power comes from the barrel of a gun. The communist party must command all the guns, that way, no guns can ever be used to command the party.”

   Castro, Pol Pot, and countless other communist tyrants also enacted gun control and confiscated the means of self-defense from their peoples. And then, as often as not, committed horrific acts of genocide and mass murder against them.

   For the same reason, i.e., a monopoly on force, when communists seize power they invariably move to control the police and the armed forces, which are the enforcement arms of the state. And in due time, if not opposed strongly, they generally create vast secret police forces to enforce the ideology of the state, whether the Ministry of State Security (PRC), NKVD/KGB (USSR), Stasi (East Germany), or Dirección General de Inteligencia (Cuba under Castro), or the like.

   The late Colonel Jeff Cooper, USMC (ret.) once said, ““Pick up a rifle and you change instantly from a subject to a citizen.”

   This is the crux of the matter. These would-be masters don’t want citizens, they want subjects, serfs, and slaves who are totally at their mercy.

   Politicians serve their citizens. Rulers rule over subjects. The distinction is the crux of the matter: who serves whom? Do we proles toil for the benefit of the elite, or do the elite work to earn our admiration and respect as they did 270 years ago?
   Yeah, we all know.
   But that is why they fear the guns, it is the ultimate leveller of the playing field. Their orcs in body armor can control whole cities 100:1… 1000:1! Only if the subjects are unarmed. The instant you can choose to project YOUR will at 1200 fps, they cannot control you against your will.
