Th irony of these well documented videos is that the very crux of the infamous US v Miller case in 1939 argued over the use and efficacy of “sawed-off” shotguns in warfare. One should wonder that a sitting judge in 1939 would not have a comprehensive if not passing awareness that “trench sweepers” were used in WWI.
The primary function of the Miller case, pre-Heller, was to find that the RKBA was a collective right, and not an individual one.
Notice the 1934 NFA doesn’t ban certain guns, it only requires lots of red-tape, government surveillance and paying excise taxes on their transfer.
Accepting a government courts pronouncement as to what a cited case says is risky when it comes to the 2A, courts are neither trustworthy nor honest.
Grab a cup of coffee and read the comments in Volokh’s essay to get a better picture.

After listening to that description of the Trench gun’s capabilities, I’m thinking my Mossberg 590 is inadequate.
There were some pretty good exaggerations on the 12 gauge 00 buckshot capabilities, there.

Post-WWII commercial Stevens 620:
Converted to “Trench Gun” configuration. (Genuine examples are rare and pricey. Fakes abound.)
Cut the barrel to 20″.
Installed a replica M97 heat shield w/ bayo lug.
Installed NOS rear sling mount.
Stripped wood and applied oil finish
Fitted replica buttplate, NOS screws.
“Aged” the heat shield a bit.
USGI web sling and US M1917 bayo complete the package.
No attempt was made to fake a legitimate original TG.
Kicks like a Mule.
