   One’s in the hospital in ICU, the others all caught. I think it was just a crime of opportunity, with the store being open at 2:45 AM.

And, since the miscreant in this case had what appears to be a centerfire rifle, that barrier needs to be adequate for all intended uses.

   The tipoff may have been a vehicle backing into a space adjacent to the door at 0245, assuming the store owner was monitoring the video feed.

   A possibly overlooked detail of this story was that when they caught up to the dipwad perps at the hospital their vehicle contained ‘several’ stolen guns. They weren’t using their own lawfully purchased firearms in the commission of this crime. Imagine that.

   I’m sure George Gascón will be prosecuting these criminals to the full extent of the law.
