Unvaxxed Navy sailors face ‘deplorable’ living conditions while religious exemptions pend

Fox News: First Liberty Institute has filed a class action on behalf of several sailors, including SEALs and reservists.
U.S. Navy service members who are seeking religious exemptions to the Department of Defense’s COVID-19 vaccine mandate have been transferred into deplorable living conditions and, in some cases, are unable to leave while awaiting termination from the military, according to court documents.

“Because I could not leave the area, I moved onto the berthing barge for the Eisenhower. The conditions on the barge are deplorable, much like the USS George Washington, which is anchored in the same shipyard. There is mold everywhere and the barge’s toilets back up and leak. The water leaks out of the base of the toilet and collects near my rack and out into the hall. On bad days, it goes into the berthings on the other side. The leaks seem to be sewage—it smells like sewage and looks like it too. See Exhibit C (water I’ve mopped up from under my rack).”
“There is some sort of worm thriving in the stagnant water in the toilet bowls and on the floor in the leaked water around the base of the toilets. Needless to say, I do not feel comfortable or safe in this environment and I have contacted mental health services multiple times,” continued the sailor.
Not sure why he called mental health services; he should contact the chief corpsman to investigate dangerous health environments. The Navy hasn’t granted a single exemption with more than 4000 pending.

I was with First platoon, Alpha 1/3, 1st Marine Brigade. Westpac 83. Capt. McGuire was C.O. and LT Eric Holt was our platoon commander.
The USS Vancouver LPD 2 had hit a reef off of Freemantle and damaged a screw so we had to crossdeck to the USS New Orleans LPH 11. We ended up on the USS Denver LPD 9 at Yokosuka. On the trip back to Pearl there was limited food, virtually no fresh water and the heads were backed up and seeping into the passageways and berthing area.
We where told stay away from the ship’s crew because of our anti-social behavior. Can’t imagine why.

Early ’85 on Big Pine III, AKA “Tell Commie Danny Ortega to stop supplying the Contras”, on LHA-4 Nassau, still a new ship at barely 7 years old, and 2 days out of Norfolk the squids managed to blow up all the fresh water distillers for the embarked landing force. 1800+ Marines with “Navy” showers (2 squirts of Right Guard and a clean T-shirt), a cup of water to shave and brush teeth every other day, every day for a month and a half going to Honduras and back across the Caribbean.
Somehow, ship’s crew had no such restrictions.
Half the heads were out of action the entire float because broken and leaking sewage in the berthing areas.
Needless to say, the chow line three times a day was a pretty gamey stenchpit, all the way there, and all the way back.
The only thing it did was make you so sick of shipboard embarkation, that if all you had to do to get off the boat was go conquer some enemy shore, you’d do it with nothing but a bayonet and a bad attitude, just to get off the haze gray slopbucket.
‘s just the way the Navy rolls, since ever.
