The Marshall Bushcraft Kinfe

This image is from the Montana Knife Company (so that we don’t get accused of poaching a picture from AllOutdoor). They also have green and black and other color patterns.
It appeals to me. I love good knives as well as well-made firearms.
Two comments. They’re going to have to do a bit better than “Restocking Soon.” Also, the price of $350 seems rather steep (although well-made knives go for a lot these days). For that price, it had better function well and stand up to abuse.

My gosh yes, $350 does sound a bit expensive to me as well. You could buy a vintage Puma fixed blade w/ Pumaster steel for that price. Or find an old Schrade USA fixed blade for even less.
For really large game processing, that knife does appear very useful.
I’ve never seen it before or heard of that company – thank you for the link.

Nice knife! You’re going to pay for custom or handmade work, especially if it is USA made.
Once, a long time ago, I was flush with cash and decided to treat myself to a custom Bowie knife. I found one on ebay that I really liked, a Damascus forged blade by a well known Swedish blacksmith. The seller was in England. Made the transaction – at a cost more than the above knife sells for – shipping was prompt and I was excited about my new purchase. When I got it, I instantly knew I’d been had. What I got was the knife pictured, minus the maker’s mark. I could tell right away it was a Pakastani forgery. Problem is, there was nothing I could do about it. Lesson learned – at a substantial cost. I gave the knife to one of my kids. It was a pretty knife, but I couldn’t bear looking at it, as I felt shame for allowing myself to be swindled so.
My go to camping, general abuse bushcrafting blade is a Tops Brakimo the kids gave me one year. For hunting, it’s still the old Buck 119 that rides on my hip, or the Old Timer Deerslayer (old, USA-made).
I have a Tops Apache Dawn that looks similar in profile to the blade pictured above, but it just doesn’t go out much with me compared the the knives I mentioned. It’s well made, and I still like how it looks – which is why I bought it, but it just isn’t as practical as my other choices.

You might look into the Ontario Rat series- good solid USA knives @ about 1/3 that price. If you want a more exotic steel than 1095, the Rat 6 is S35VN- still less than 1/2 the $$. But, I get it- sometimes a piece of hardware is just SO, & must be acquired.

Cold Steel used to make really good knives. Nowadays most are made overseas.

I’ve been lucky enough to have two Randal made knives given to me when my father passed. I Remember when he bought them in the early 70’s.
I use them for skinning and butchering wild game, mostly deer.
