   It works, it works, now it doesn’t. Unacceptable for a defensive weapon, although I kept the light/laser combo as a range toy / demo unit for teaching classes.

   I really like it. The green dot is more visible than I expected. Green is in the very middle of the visible spectrum, so that makes sense. I find it just as visible as the red reticles.

   Red/green have both, my thinking is I learn what’s on the weapon. Had zero issues with either color.

   Battery life, I’ve not experienced quick battery drain, I change out batteries on my birthday every year, guessing I could get another six months especially on the hollow suns with the solar strip on top. The trick is leaving the dot somewhere it can get light to assist in charging.

   the Delta Pros on a Glock 34 rarely gets shot, a big pistol difficult to conceal in shorts and a polo.

   Years ago our agency issued Glock 21s with red lasers. Was an interesting lesson watching how individual shooters adapter to the lasers. I stayed with my 1911, but quickly learned that most on the firing line would use the laser to sweep for the target, rather then going directly to the fundamentals of picking up the front sight.

   Much slower, recognized these were lazy shooters with little discipline. Poor habits produced poor shooting results.

   I have mounted scopes on handguns in the past, discontinued now as unnecessary and unwieldy. Fixed rear and fiber optic front sights are familiar and fit my needs.
   My younger brother reports good results with slide-mounted red dots, after some practice upon presentation.
   From time to time, I consider adding peep sights to my lever action carbines but never seem to get around to doing it.
   A tube-style red dot on my Mini, and a compact 4X on an AR have been sufficient for many years. I doubt if upgrades would be worth the price.

   At any rate, firearms upgrades are on hold for now. Surplus funds are earmarked for my ’69 VW Bug restoration project.
