SCOTUS Told Bevis to Go Away in His Lawsuit Against Naperville, Illinois AWB Stays in Place

You’ve heard the news. Here and here (note that there were no dissents). I guess the lack of dissents means that there weren’t enough votes and everyone knew it.
Listen to Washington Gun Law where he puts the best spin on bad news.
Then listen to Langley Outdoors Academy where I agree with him.
Here’s my problem with the SCOTUS. They’ll get involved at the flip of a hat to stay a Fifth Circuit knockdown of the ATF, but completely ignore infringement of rights.
Frankly, I just don’t buy the notion that they all want to see a complete record of the case. It just doesn’t fit the facts. They get involved all the time where constitutional rights are being infringed. I guess the second amendment is still a second class right regardless of what the Bruen decision says.

For practical purposes, it remains a government-bestowed privilege. Do you need FBI permission to purchase a firearm? Then it’s not a right. Do you need a permit from the government to carry? Then it’s not a right. Can you be sent to prison for TEN YEARS for having a shotgun with a barrel that is 17.75″ instead of 18″? Then it’s not a right.
The Bruen decision is quite faulty. The Second Circuit just upheld virtually all of New York’s restrictions on carry — parks, zoos, public gatherings, protests, medical offices, Times Square, schools, restaurants that serve alcohol, etc., etc.
The only thing they overturned was the state’s presumption that it could outlaw carry on “private property generally open to the public.” They punted on the issue of carry on private property “generally closed to the public.” So if you are carrying at your neighbor’s house that you’ve known for 40 years and he’s 100% OK with that, the cops can still arrest you for a felony if he doesn’t have a sign up explicitly allowing carry.

The Second Amendment will always be trampled upon until the Citizenry decides to use it as intended. I’m not too sure the will for that is within the American people. My fellow Americans will fight for Freedom, but Liberty scares the hell out of them.

Come on, end of the day the 2nd has stood strong. IDONT like a lot of what’s happening, yet when I do a gun count, everything’s still present and accounted for.
Sure they’re not auto, but having run autos for 27 years, I’ll take a semi auto any day. It not bullet count, it’s bullet placement!
Missing you guys, took a1 yr position working with Vets. Working 15/18 hr days. And I feel blessed to have such an opportunity. Was hanging out with a small group of WWII vets last week. The integrity of these men was stunning, they literally personified “ Moral, Ethical, Legal” in everything they did and said. Was my honor to assist these men.
I’m praying that god picks me to work with each and every one of these WWII Hero’s, every day of my voluntary term.
Dirk!
