CZ Procures Sellier & Bellot

I have never used this ammo before and have no particular comment on their procurement, except that CZ manufactures very good guns. I wish they were entirely in America.

The Czech armaments industry has been first-class for a century or more, which is one reason why Hitler’s Germany wanted to annex Czechoslovakia in the run-up to the Second World War ~ to acquire their arms industry and manufacturing facilities.

I’ve used the S&B green yellow boxed ammunition in the past. Often less expensive then other brands, it shot reliably and just as accurate as USA labelled brands. If CZ holds to the previous standard, I’d call it a win. I hope that is the case for CZ,

Back in the early 90s, S&B was the ‘usually’ available pistol ammo in inventory at the MWR ranges when I was stationed in Germany.
IIRC it was very reasonably priced, accurate and I don’t remember having any reliability issues with it then, or later when buying it here in the states.

Interesting. CZ seems to be trying to corner the ammunition manufacturing market. I’m not sure if it is a bad thing or not.
S&B has always worked well for me. It used to be bargain priced ammo, so I shot a bunch of it for practice and never had any problems with it. I’m not sure what the current pricing is like, though.

I’ve shot thousands of rounds of S&B without a single issue. Wish I could say the same about Winchester and Remington.

I run S&B in my CZ and other pistols regularly. Frankly, it’s become one of my preferred target loads because, for the money, it’s some of the most reliable. Hard to find in 124-grain, which I prefer, but the 115 runs well.

S&B is solid stuff. I have a boatload of their 124 grain 9mm for range ammo. Highly recommend.

Ditto whats been said. Preloaded ammo is top quality IME. I have a few bricks of their primers as well. Though not US owners, I’m ok with CZ, they seem to be straight shooters.
