Americans have been making their own firearms since the founding of the country. The SCOTUS needs to get this one right, or else they relegate themselves to the trash heap of history. The communists already disregard what they don’t like out of the SCOTUS. When they lose the rest of the base, it’s a short hop and a skip to everyone just completely ignoring them. They have no reason to go to work with that kind of reputation. They should just stay home.

Yes, the SCOTUS needs to get this right. But I seriously doubt they do. The make up of this court is NOT friendly to Rights. And they’ve had more than ample opportunity to settle the question of 2A rights but keep ducking and weaving trying to dodge the issue, issuing opinions that only obliquely or partially address the issue. Don’t expect them to ‘do the right thing’ now.

Which will not happen, probably from any Supreme Court and certainly not from this one.
Any SCOTUS decision will be sliced and diced via the numbers; 9-0 is one thing, which always begs discussion on “balance on the court” and despite the “binaryness” of it, a 5-4 decision “isn’t really a true SCOTUS outcome because it wasn’t 9-0.”
I expect to see a new board game from Hasbro or Parker Brothers titled “DIY Constitutional Republic” on the shelves before Christmas, and that’s probably the only place we”ll find “Constitutional Republic” by then.
