I have done some research into Governor Brad Little and he seems to be involved in some shady affairs. I don’t have enough to catalog at the moment, but I’ll say this. There is more to the story than simply that the Twin Falls Canal Company wanted a little more water, or wanted the supply to be more stable.
If that was the end of the story, then you work up some sort of water sharing program and stick to it. Instead, farmers in northern Idaho are being completely shut out by water curtailment regulations forcing them to close wells, and that … permanently.
I will continue my investigation into this, and I invite reader submissions to help me along. But mark my words. Mark … my … words.
This is about a land grab. There is some sort of secret deal between Brad Little and large corporations who want that land for pennies on the dollar. I imagine you can guess who the most likely culprits are: Bayer, Kellog, Monsanto, Archer-Daniels-Midland, or whomever.
But there is something afoul in Idaho, and it comes out of the office of Brad Little.

There has been talk of open pit mining of cobalt on those lands. Mining cobalt requires a huge amount of water.
The latest is rescission of some water curtailments, or at least a softening of the push for curtailing the water to junior water rights.
This story is changing fast. Makes me believe it never was about conserving the aquifer. For if it was, the state would be more firm on holding ground. Remember, this all came down after the fields were planted. If it were such an emergency, why wait until then?

My brother knows a man holding water rights dating from early last century. Those rights had formerly been known as senior. In this latest debacle, his rights have been referred to as junior. Skulduggery afoot.

It’s always the political class working with the very rich. My Grandfather went to New Mexico back in 1908 and homesteaded a 160 acre farm. All the farmers in the valley were driven out by the state government and their land was taken over by a single very wealthy man. He got nothing for his two years of work on that land. Just kicked out. He always said he did not care too much about Washington DC. It was the local political class you had to really watch out for.

Under international law, any nation which enacts a naval or other blockade against another one, with the intent to deprive the target nation of needed resources, including food and water – is guilty of committing an act of war. One example which comes to mind is the blockade of Imperial Germany by the British Royal Navy during the Great War. Which was rightly classified as an act of war.
If Bill Gates and the other globalist billionaires and plutocrats are attacking the water rights of Idaho farmers, are they not also depriving them of the food and water they need to survive? If the answer is in the affirmative and the evidence says that it ought to be – then does that not make Gates et al. also guilty of an act of war?
The answers to these and other similar questions are important now, and may become even more important in the months and years to come. At what point do the common people now being attacked pick up the gauntlet and begin to resist actively?
One suspects that once people get hungry-enough, once a parent sees his/her children get hungry-enough, that’s when we’ll have our answer.

Last year, Jervois, an Australian mining company, was set to open an operation near Salmon, ID. The mine did not open.
Now, with new money from investors and notably $15 Million from the DoD, the mine will open.
Not clear to me is the source of that $15 Million. Yes, it is from the DoD, but is the money from DoD budget? Or, is the money appropriated from the Additional Ukraine Supplemental Appropriations Act? The Act was passed by Congress in May 2024.
Note the timeline. The act is passed, money given to Jervois, mine to begin fulltime operations, water curtailments go out to Farmers in that same area. This timeline is about one month.
Also, it seems a large area aligned with the Salmon River is holding very rich deposits of cobalt. That is, it is not just the area at the town of Salmon.
To reiterate, open pit mining of cobalt requires a huge amount of water.
It sure looks like Idaho state bureaucrats were lying when they said the water curtailments were about water conservation/recharging the aquifer. Still, have to be reserved in connecting the dots since this is speculation based on differing sets of facts. But if walks like a duck ….

Here’s the question: an influx of new investors in the recent months. Why?
(How often do investors rush to invest in a mine which was shelved?)
Did they know in May/early June that the mine was to begin operations? Did they know fedgov through DoD was about to finance the operation?
Why the DoD, why not some other department? Well, who has control of, say monies for Ukraine?
This does seem to point to misappropriation of monies in the aforementioned Congressional Act.
